Bajaj gets patent for ExhausTEC in Europe

Bajaj Auto has received European patent for ExhausTEC technology which it currently uses in its motorcycles.

Bajaj Auto had received the patent for ExhausTEC in India in 2004 and has since sold over 50 lakh (5 million motorcycles) with ExhausTEC in India and abroad. According to Bajaj Auto, European patent derives priority from the corresponding Indian patent application dated August 6, 2004 and was awarded after a stringent examination.

According to Bajaj Autp, ExhausTEC technology (Exhaust Torque Expansion Chamber) that it had developed along with DTSi, improves low and mid end performance and fuel efficiency of single cylinder four stroke motorcycles.

  1. hi,i bought a unicorn on 8th dec 2009 & has clocked 1300km till now.i m facing problem in starting the engine very often specially in cold climate.although 1st servicing has been done at 500 km the problem still persists.also the engine is not so smooth & makes noise a bit.is there any way to make the headlight beam power constant since it depends on the throttle??please send suggestions…..
