Hero launches 250cc HX250R

Hero Moto Corp has launched its brand new 250cc HX250R motorcycle in India. Powered by a liquid cooled 249cc 4 stroke engine, HX250R produces 31ps of peak power at 9000rpm.

Hero Moto is also claiming 0-60kmph acceleration of 2.7 seconds for the HX250R and while there is no word yet on the top speed of HX250R, we expect it to be class leading, given the fact that HX250R has a karb weight of 139kg vs. 167kg of Honda CBR250R, which is powered by a 250cc 25bhp engine.

Hero HX250R also features combined braking system as standard and will come with an optional ABS as well. It is expected to go on sale by 1st of April 2014.
