Honda CBF Stunner Launched
Written by: Yogesh June 30th, 2008Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India today unveiled the Honda CBF Stunner in New Delhi.
The 125cc Honda Stunner produces 11bhp at 8000rpm and 11nm of torque at 6500rpm. Honda claims the Stunner can achieve 60kmph from standstill in 5.2 seconds, which ought to make the Stunner one of the fastest 125cc motorcycles in India, if not the fastest.
Loaded with goodies like front and rear tubeless tyres, alloys, half fairing and stepped up seat, the CBF Stunner is the most beautiful and loaded 125cc motorcycle in India.
However all this comes at a price, the basic kick start drum brake version of Honda CBF Stunner would Rs. 47,070, while the self start drum brake version costs Rs. 49,820, while the top of the line disc brake version (with self start) would set you back by Rs. 51,655 (prices ex. showroom Delhi).

well this bike which has been launched by honda is for sure a boom to the company there are no doubts about it. i am happy since the company will now think in the right direction since they were waiting for it, well i spoke to the comapny sales deparment and the person has given me a hint for the next launch by this year end or next year starting some heavy stuff will be launched for sure. i guess sit back and enjoy the ride.
What’s the mileage per litre? how the performance will be?
ill it be ok for city riding?
This bike is good in its segment . But it would be better if the fairing was put on the unicorn , it still needs more modifications . Please do it in 2008 itself . The unicorn will rule the 150cc segment if the smilar fairing and a digital speedometer , but it should be within Rs-65000 . If these slight modifications are done even the bajaj will have a run for their money .

good looks n sporty bike but foot gear level is half.1st gear is ok but fr other gears shoe will go.. is it possible to change foot gear level to two way lever ie to put gears frm either side???????????

hai i m happy from ambala i want to say that honda cbf is not in the race of big bikes like karizma,pulsar 220 but may be good in its class.bike bit looks like karizma-not so aggressive like karizma
What is milege of Honda Stunner
looks Superb stunning bike, but what about the mileage & Digital Speedometer, i think XCD SPRINT,GLADIATOR SS & FLAME will give more mileage than STUNNER, so tell us the correct mileage of it.
I dont think this bike will come with this paint job similar to the one we had on limited edition unicorn sports.

Bike look very stylish but Fuel tank capacity: 10 liters (2 liter reserve)…. this is very less bcoz stunner looks like sports bike….why they given less capacity.
But one main think about mileage (60-65)…..

Looks like this is a copy cat of Hero Honda’s Karizma in the front. One more thing is what is the use of sports bike look without power? This bike looks good but it is a 125cc bike and only 11bhp and see disc brake and electric start are optional for the bike (sounds silly, I expect the bike manufacturers to make these fittings manadatory and update the cost).
Honda engines are one of the best engines. I expected a better, powerful bike from them…

These new stunner is given birth to rule the Indian roads, the bike looks pretty cool, and talking about the engine it as the same as shine. Honda is always know for the engines so no second though in it, its pretty good. and no douth in mileage because honda shine as already proved it. and the rates comparing to other bikes its preety cheep. my suggestion to Honda is pleaase decrease the booking period so that it easy for consumers.
I think if honda launched it with 5 speed it would be better.

Don’t be worried folks, I’ve bought it on 17th July Black w/t Discbrk –
I’ve found it soothing over roads, giving noise a questionmark.
No problem in transmission with jabardast breakings.
The handle that has losed the crown (headlight & meters) makes the handle light for better movements.
The sound of loosen fibre bodies may make a bit irritating while riding, so take precaution for it.
Never experienced about Tubeless Tyres, neither had a punture in my lifetime.
The styling of the body really Stunns people/riders around, the 1st Q. they ask is – is it 150 or 180 and that stunns me too.
After all, every one’s querry about mileage…………………….. it is calculated to be 62 kmpl (normal petrol) on good roads.
Be sure, if you are riding Stunner CBF nobody will look to Pulsar, Apache or even Unicorn, but don’t try to race with them as it cud only reach 113 kmph with a regular acceleration.
honda’s new product “CBF” stunner is a sure shot hit. Reason- It has got both looks aswell as performance. as it is a 125 cc bike, it will be of good performance on indian roads, as far as looks are concerned, it looks sporty. A good value 4 money bike.

GUYS forget PULSER,and big fatty body with thin tyres in R-15.

whats more in kolkata it’s Rs.69.000 on road.it’s bit costly for me.but STUNNER is really STUNNING.

Well i have already taken a test drive n specification of this bike…i thnk its awesome in 125cc category bt it will nt b fair to cmpare it with R15,P200 ,Karizma or P220 as they are the true sports bike…bt for 125cc segment its the best…good pick-up,mileage of around 55-60 km/litre..n ofcourse a superb styling…its comfortable n costs only aroud 54000..it looks muscular n tyres r wider than any other bike in 125cc segment…
stunner is for this generation boys.

Finaly on 31st july i hav my own stunner .i hav no question about it i am not trying to know miledge or speed because i am a working guy. when i drive time is 8.00 clock comletely official time there is too much rush on road same in evening also .As i hav guess that that will give aprox 50-55 .

like to tell: on 16/08/2008 saturday i planned from long days to buy apache RTR and so on tat day i went to exclusive TVS showroom n saw the bike,its really amzing n good after i c same FI 160cc. Than i took the auotation for RTR Apache and went to finance to buy. than decided n informed on of my frnd abt buying apache and he told me abt tis new STUNNER CBF n i test rided tat, after tat i changed my mind set n came to honda shop n book’d this New stunner, but now after cing tis orange i like to get tis orange only ,so now am moving to shop to change the bike color. am happy n thanks to HONDA for launching tis best Stunner-bike….

i have purchase this bike actually i have not purchased my father gifted me this bike on my birthday. i didnt face any problem of booking i just booked the bike on 23rd of august & on the next day i.e. 24th i got it. My stunner is with self but without disc in black color.
About the avg. i didnt check properly yet but i have drived 120 km yet & it is giving the avg. round about 55-60 sure.(stunner’s avg is more than 55 that is sure)

But the instrument panel is of poor quality.
I dont believe in the mileage claimed by the company because my friend is getting 40kmpl in city riding.
Riding comfort on the bike is really good and u guys wont beleive that my friend has travelled 800KM on that bike in 2days.

At one stage I was in confusion which bike to purchase either Apache or Stunner??? I know Apache has more cc than stunner…& its faster..where as Stunner comes with reasonable price with sporty look.

i had booked motor byke …stunner.. on 02.10.2008 and demanded yelow collour, but dealer told it will require 2 to 3 monthes hence i have to book black one . there is huge rush at show room due to closer of one show room. hence we would have a great difficulties for future serviceing also. will you look into the matter please

My stunner is now 6-month old. It gives me about 55 km/l in city & 60 in highway. Its ride and handling are superb in city cond. But gives little bit vibration in between 60-70 speed. I think the gear box need a little bit of more reduction in its gear ratios. But its responsiveness is superb.

I’m planning to buy this bike but im a bit confused with it.
I don’t know whether i should buy this bike or the Karizma, coz if i go towards the average section, stunner is going to give me a very good performance but, as in looks and bhp and throttling, I prefer Karizma any day.
I don’t know what to do!
Can you tell me which bike will be in my budget and with great average and looks because for mumbai roads, average is mandatory and im a student by profession, so looks are heavily required ?

hi dude i buy the new stunner on dis diwali and u cn’t bliave it’s running 115 km in rs 100 petrol. b4 frst servce in maximum speed of 40 km, aftr 1st servic it vl b gv me more thn i expect……………………………..

nice bike man..riding it since 10 months & 10k kms..cant deny that the seat is too hard to sit on when u r riding long distances..in terms of efficiency u cant find a better bike with similar looks and performance..u get a mileage of 60kmpl in city limits driving at an average speed of 65-70kmph..u can drive at higher speed and achieve the same mileage provided u have necessary rpm..has a top speed of 110kmph..to sum it all its the best bike in the 125cc category in india..
stunner is a nice bike but if company gives on both the side disc break & one cylinder so it was become a macho bike………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

honda cbf stunner is not of 51655 . its about 62000 on road, and the problem is that it have not the digital speedometer and led tail lamp. when we will invest the amount then why should not we take the bajaj pulsar 150 or bajaj discover 135. these both bikes have a healthy resale value and digital speedometer also.

Dear Sir/Madam,
This is to inform you that I have purchased a Honda Stunner Motorcycle on the month of August, 2009 from a sub dealer of your Honda Motorcycle.
Attachment is the bill of purchase.
First two month the performance of the bike is smooth and always I am maintaining the servicing of the motorcycle as per your recommendation.
But from last month the performance of the bike is not normal as it was in previous two month.
The followings are the problems:
1. The gearing function is entirely changed and time to time when I am riding the motorcycle I can not even shift the gear from top to bottom level or bottom to top level. The mileage is also gone down (@20 to 25 per Lts.).
2. All indicator is not working from the first day and on the time of purchased I was also pointed out this problem to the sub dealer. He told that on the time of servicing the service centre will solve the entire problem.
3. The battery of the motorcycle is not performing properly also. The Horn is not working.
4. On the time of continuous riding any time the bike is automatically stop for no reason.
5. Till date I havn’t understand whether the bike has reserve tank or not (for petrol) though you have mentioned in the service manual that 10 lts.normal and 2 lts for reserve. Always the entire petrol finishes without switching from normal to reserve.
Till date I have received two free services from your servicing department and every time I have pointed out those problems but they were silent. Attachment is the last free service details for your information.
Please note on the time of last free service your service department told that their blowing machine (air/water) is out of order and they have changed only the engine oil and not even touched the other parts of the bike.
In this situation request you to replace my bike with a new one or other high end model (Unicorn 150 C.C.) and I am ready to pay you the difference amount.
I am awaiting for your response please.

hi this is Amit tiwari and i think its require sometime one more gear coz its already runnign on 5th gear but sounds come like its require one more gear. but i really wanna say its most stylish bike in all 125cc bikes and one more thing its racing bike. immediate pick up.
i booked the honda stunner 125cc ..company told that it gives average 70km/lt…what is the fact….he gives how much average.please tell me ..i m very confused…….pls give me solution on my email id
Good Bike indeed, but what i feel is, these days the Bike lovers specially Young crowd, they love Bike with good Pick up, Power etc. Stunner has good looks, and it is the Bike that comes in 125 CC catogary… And witht this Stunner faces the problem where economy segment people will also not like to buy that Bike as it is Stylish…. i am really confused…. i just wanted to know about the target customers which Honda people are looking for..
For the Age Group of 16 – 28 .. Power Counts
Above 30 … simplicity, mileage, maintanence etc… but with that sporty style.. i don know
