I am happy that the blade is available in India now.I ride a Fireblade myself and needless to say its brutal.
But before you buy this serious piece of machinery MAKE SURE you test ride before purchase.
The bike STARTS breathing comfortably at around 5000 rpms in 6th gear meaning you are at 90 miles/hr or about 120-140 km/hr by then. The faster you go the more comfortable the bike gets.....
In lower gears the bike is very aggressive and clutch control is very imperative. In Indian road conditions it can be a challenge and not a pleasant experience.

Hope this helps....
Ohh i ride my blade in Alabama and Georgia.

We see launch of Superbikes (legally) from all majors, Yamaha, Ducati, Suzuki and now Honda... but pricing!!!! Pricing subsumes the long set EXIM policies and thereby results in a heavy quote of INR. It is so unjustified that we Indians must pay almost more then double the price of such SBK's then others in the world.. then there are people who may argue by sayin' the per capita Income of Indians, if really so!!! then why bringing in such babies cause truly it nullifies the righteousness of riddin' off the pockets with such a heavy amount.

If u want to target a niche segment then how can u de-throne 'Price' as an essential of marketing mix. If bound then cease the legal CBU import launches if cant take pain to bring in via CKU or manufacturing in your own plants.(Aahhh... u might have your own reasons(technical,philosophical,(im)practical...blah,blah!!)!)

Such launches thereby doesn't truly respect the Indian market. If 40 yrs old custom laws are stable like a mountain then the bike manufacturers must dig way to reach potential buyers (of superbikes indeed and not 100,106,110,115,118,125,135cc(the list will not end!) by delivering value (Instead of self-reviews(Indian roads, bad roads... better to go on a Market research and surely will be awe-struck with the findings).

The official statement given during Bajaj 135 dts-si launch on Bajaj Kawsaki Ninja 250R as a CBU... we are talking about legal launch of high end bikes!!! so, legal as a CBU, the Ninja 250R price cannot drop below Rs 3.2 Lakhs... if does then the bike would certainly be de-tuned, thereby making it truly a Bajaj bike. Be Indian, ride Indian... hamara Bajaj!!! And let us uphold the credence for life and dissolve in the bitchery of confined laws forever.

hi...
If only Honda manages to assemble the bike in INDIA then they could sell the same bike for at least 3lakhs less means bike prised at 9.5lakhs will cost 6.5lakhs so it will come in rach of many. and sell will increase. Honda please do conside that option.

I know Honda might have considered that option as they have more experts than us for the job.there might be some legal constrain i suppose.

and 600 cc motorcycle are not allowed to be imported in India so these all companies are bringing 1000cc bikes. ITS a rule that u have to import 800cc above bike You cannot import 800cc below bike.

i hope honda comes ot with a CBR 400/600 cc. ofcourse the main thing is the budget. pricing between 2 to 4 lakhs shall be comfortable for quite a few byke lovers. actually getting knocked down parts and assembling them here shall bring the cost down quiet a bit. but when is this going to happens
