Kawasaki to sell motorcycles in India

Kawasaki Heavy industry in a press statement on Friday said, it is planning to manufacture 150cc and above sports motorcycles in India, in collaboration with its technical partner in India, Bajaj Auto.

Bajaj Auto had earlier this year at Auto Expo 2008 in Delhi, showed of motorcycles from Kawasaki which it plans to launch in India. One of the motorcycles that is expected to be launched initially in India is the Kawasaki Ninja 250 with a 250cc twin cylinder and 30bhp engine.

A 150cc genuine Kawasaki designed bike should be an interesting option to have. Most people have driven the competion; however a 150cc Kawasaki should be unique. Let’s have them soon please… Kawasaki ! err..Bajaj !

Foolish move . Why get into an already over saturated 150cc segment. Kwaker should move into the 250 , 500 and 600 - 900 cc segments on assembly of kits here.

Hi like everyone else diwali is around the corner I have been back in India for 18 months now and been waiting for 18 months for a decent affordable bike to come along the ninja would be ideal…..so when will it be realesed and the $million question how much will it be, it will be a insult to the indian public if it exceeds the costs of the bike in the US it should be a little cheaper I am hopeing around the RS 150000 mark

Kawasaki Motorcycles are not yet officially available in India, though private importers and those dealing in imported motorcycles would be able to arrange one for you if you so desire.
