Mahindra 2 Wheelers has launched two new gearless scooters in India, called Rodeo and Duro. It is the first new launch by the company, since Mahindra 2 Wheelers took over Kinetic Motors, last year.
Rodeo and Duro are powered by the same 125cc, 8.1ps 4st engine from SYM (technical partner) which currently does duty on the Mahindra Flyte.
Mahindra Rodeo is targeted at the young urban male and thus not only looks a bit better than Duro, but also comes loaded with digital console with changing colors, trip meter, digital clock, tachometer, digital speedometer and odometer, and a USB cum mobile charging port. Priced at Rs. 41,299 (ex-showroom Pune), Mahindra Rodeo would be available in seven colors; Fiery Black, Forest Green, Cappuccino Brown, Blazing Red, Golden Beige, Majestic Maroon and Deep Ocean Blue.
Mahindra Duro is target at the general market and is priced lower than the Rodeo, at Rs. 38,299 (ex-showroom Pune). Mahindra Duro would be available in Fiery Black, Pearl White, Cappuccino Brown, Mystique Grey, Majestic Maroon and Golden Beige colors.
Speaking at the launch, Mr. Anand Mahindra, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Mahindra Group said, “This launch is a validation of the commitment we made last year to establish a robust, end-to-end global two wheeler business with a presence across segments. With their international appeal and powerful performance, the Rodeo and the Duro are world class scooters and will extend the Mahindra DNA of ‘tough & rugged’ style to a whole new consumer segment.”
