New Honda Activa 110cc launched in India
Written by: Yogesh March 27th, 2009Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) has launched the new variant of its gearless scooter, Honda Activa.
Carrying the legacy of Activa, the new Activa now comes with new styling, better mileage and hoards of new features. Powered with an all new 110cc 4st engine, the new Honda Activa produces 8bhp at 7500rpm and 0.9Kgm of torque at 5500rpm. Honda is claiming 15% better mileage for the new Activa, compared to its 102cc predecessor.
Honda is also planning to introduce deluxe version of the new Activa with combined breaking system (CBS), Activa would be the first scooter to be launched in India with CBS, which until now was only available in the recently launched Honda CBR1000RR CBS.
The new Honda Activa would be available at Rs. 39,800 (Ex. showroom New Delhi) for the std. variant, price of yet to be launched Deluxe version with CBS, is yet to be announced.

The Combi-brake in the Deluxe variant is an important highlight as New Activa will be the first scooter in the Indian market to have this feature. This technology enables shorter braking distance and stable braking for a normal rider.
The New Activa has timeless looks and style because of its new design, charming headlights with Halogen lamp, clear winkers and elegant aluminium grabrail. Its metal body ensures more durability while the Tuff-up tube in rear tyre makes it more reliable. Among other attractive features of the New Activa include: Increased underseat storage capacity and Key Shutter .

The New Honda Activa would be available at the lucrative price of Rs 39,800 (New Delhi), Rs 41,300 (Pune), Rs 41,340 (Bengaluru) and Rs 41,320 (Kolkata). The prices mentioned are ex-showroom and of the Std Variant. The Deluxe variant will be launched soon.

Saw the new activa in the showroom today. The body is metal, with Fibre parts in the front fairing and some part in the rear. The design is not at all to my liking. Honda has gone wrong big time with the designing of the new aviator and the new activa. The new activa seems somewhat small in the front and heavy towards the rear. The price is also up Rs.1200 from the previous one (Pune). Overall, I would have any day preferred the previous Activa. Wouldn’t buy it. Will be buying the Dio.

Visted Honda showroom yesterday and took test drive..Very dis-appointed with the looks of the vehical but good ride quality. Excellent built quality. You have to wait for 2 to 3 weeks for getting accessories (including side stand!!)..

New activa is great in pickup and handling. Its very slightly taller than the old activa and suits tall gents as well. Bangalore price is Rs.45925/- excluding the accessories and waiting period is 15-20 days in all the 6 showrooms. Dhruvesh Honda in Mekhri circle is delivering the scooter in 10 days.

it is not at all a good one. Is honda become mad. It is like the old bajaj scooter. I don’t like it. It is noy at all good with males also not for females.If them apply these facilities to the olden body it is better than this.

I have seen so many comments on new Active model but important question of millage. no body describes it millage. Can any body explain the millage.
I booked my black colour activa on 03/04/2009 at EVM showroom Trivandrum ,Iam still awaiting for the same. will it take more than 3 months to get a scooter and more than that Iam not at all satisfied by the dealeres response . today on 10/07/09 i paid full amount for the scooter and the dealer said that i will get it by 15/07/09 . They are saying that there is a shortage but many otheres booked with other dealers got the scooter one month before. I dont know the customer care no otherwise i would have called erlier .

The new activa ( red ) looks really hot.. but the shape should have been a little better, pune showroom price is Rs. 48990/- excluding accessories n ppl r asked to wait for 50 days.. this isnt fair according to me..they should provide the vehicles as soon as possibe, waiting is one big headache n travelling another mega headache.. what will a common person do if he is asked to wait for 50 freakin days? honda has got a good reputation that does not mean that it can take advantage of its goodwill..

Hey nikkesh…i am waiting for my new activa. i stay in pune, they have asked me to wait for 50 days in order to get my vehicle. the best thing i would personally recommend to u is, go to the activa showroom.. they will guide u in a proper way n suggest the best possible way to obtain ur loan at a low emi. I am waiting for my activa ( red ). the major headache is the duration, i am not quite sure about the current scenario in mumbai,but as far as i am concerned, i feel that there is less demand in mumbai than in comparison with other states. This is all i can assist u with. hope i helped u in some way or the other..

I have booked HONDA ACTIVA on 14th Feb 2009, Receipt No. 10223, Serial No. B13573, from Pratik Honda (Kunal Motors), Vashi, Navi Mumbai.
Till today, after 9 MONTHS of booking, I am still awaiting for delivery. We came to know that main dealer is saleing bikes in Black Market with Higher Margin.
Every time we ask of delivery the dealer guy’s giving next week commitment….

I have booked a Honda Activa in Bangalore dealer during 3rd week of October 2009 and as per them, it takes 3 months to deliver due to the strike/slow production/heavy demand in the factory. I just wanted to know whether the strike/slow production is still continuing. The delivery period of 3 months for a scooter is too much. Whether the company is showing the strike/slow production as a part to increase the cost of the vehicle due to its demand.
In Bangalore, each dealers are having different on road price for the new Activa 110 and also delivery period. Apart from the cost of the vehicle, the rate for the accessories also differs from dealer to dealer. Why the company is not keeping a uniform rate for the scooter depending on the location of the dealers, whether it is total Bangalore cirle one rate, Hyderabad one rate, Chennai one rate etc. Customers are getting confused where to book the vehicle. Please clarify.
In Bangalore, each dealers for Suzuki Access are having different on road price and also delivery period. Apart from the cost of the vehicle, the rate for the accessories also differs from dealer to dealer. Why the company is not keeping a uniform rate for the scooter depending on the location of the dealers, whether it is total Bangalore cirle one rate, Hyderabad one rate, Chennai one rate etc. Customers are getting confused where to book the vehicle. Please clarify.
If a customer pay full amount as advance to a Suzuki show room in Bangalore, he will get the vehicle within 45 days, in case he pays 5000/- as advance, he will have to wait for 90 days to get a scooter.
For Honda Activa, this method of payment is not there. Customer has to book with Rs.1000/- as advance and wait till they get [i.e. around 3-4 months]
Once the demand goes for these vehicles, these dealers will start selling the scooter on exchange of any vehicle and will start publicity even in the street also. This is the attitude.

I buy a new HONDA ACTIVA deluxe model and I enjoining it very much when I am riding on it. I think that this is the best vehicle in scooter industry at this time. no one can match it with this type of specifications. Good LUCK for you if you buy this. You becomes a gorgeous person if you choose this……….BUY.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have sold my old Activa and booked the new Honda activa Delux with the waiting period of 90-120 days due to the unrest situation in the production plant . Since the strike of the workers has been called off after the successful negotiation , I request the concerned authority to expedite the delivery and reduce the waiting period drastically . The new activa Sucks. Scooter weight brought down by using fibre parts. Not worth, Looks are and designs are not up to the mark. The Suzuki Access is excellent from all aspects stylish Design, better Pick up, Better Milage, 125 CC compared to 110 CC, Better Seating Space, etc.
It looks the same problem of poor supply condition of the Honda activa scooter from Claymentown,Dehradun. my wife booked it from Paradise Honda on Oct.12/09 but still nothing so far.Big gap in

Wh do you want to wait for such a long time..How about Mahindra Power scooters rodeo or duro. Which have better engine capacity then these vechiles. Even in mahindra we have to wait for 15 days to get the vechile but not like this.

Honda Activa is truely a “female scooter”, not meant for gents at all! The style, look, pick-up everything is good, but it lacks the appropriate weight that gives the stability while riding beyond 50-55 KMPH. Its a featherlite vehicle. Thats why it is suitable only for ladies. But overall its a good one.
