New Honda Unicorn R
Honda Motor Scooter India has launched an upgraded version of Honda Unicorn. The New Honda Unicorn has the following new features:
- Engine tweaks to make the engine smoother and increase pickup.
- Exhaust Heat shield has been given the same black treatment as the rest of the exhaust, making it some what more attractive.
- Honda has also decided to paint the sari guard in black paint to make the bike look sleeker.
- Honda Unicorn’s instrumentation panel has been changed to incorporate larger dials with brighter colors to improve readability.
- The new gear paddle is toe actuated, as oppose to the conventional heel-toe shifter in the older Unicorn.
- Honda has also added bar end weights to reduce vibrations.
- Unicorn also gets a Chrome plated 3D logo to enhance its looks.
Overall the cosmetic upgrades have managed to make the New Unicorn look more appealing than its predecessor which was never a bad package to begin with.

Is this offer good? Pls suggest.

the honda ll launch the new unicorn next year , it is vv sporty and it ll roll the market with sexy look .may be stunner type head light , tail lamp change ,and its look like a cbr series ok .also i have an Unicorn with 55 millage and silent $ smooth runing. i have also check out with long drive upto 540km but the millage is betn 55 t0 57 kmpl.one more thing to remember keep ur bike perfect check up time to time.
Its nice bike but lacks in bhp . I think could have generated more power .
no one can beat the 150 honda UNICORN , smoothness as well as powerfull pick up with best avrage . mono suspenssion and all engg is very good from honda , i have no word to share my unicornmania ok .bye for now

What the Unicorn needs to improve/change:
Maybe a higher CC Engine (180cc-250cc)
Fuel Injection
LCD Console
LED taillights
What the Unicorn needs to keep:
Ultra-smooth Engine
Comfortable riding position (footpegs near the engine so that feet are relaxed and not bent backwards)
Decent fuel consumption
Honda reliability
Honestly, I got a Karizma recently and it lags behind the unicron in comfort, pickup, ride comfort, seating position, build quality and fuel consumption…every possible aspect.
Come on Honda, let’s see watcha got! give me my new Unicorn
I agree with Someguy except that it needs a fifth gear too for sure. My bet is that Honda will come out with a 225cc or 250cc bike with these changes sometime this year. If they do, I believe they will own the market except perhaps for competition from a 250cc Kawi Ninja. It will depend on the pricepoint. You can’t beat Honda for quality and reliability.

unicorn is the best bike for the ordinary peaple in india. Its smothness & seating arrangement gives more comfort to have a long ride.
There are some deffects also, the workers in the showroom are not ready to work well. I had said to them while service that , there is a problem with my handle & there is no proper function of disk brakes. The complaints havent maintained
Hi, what is the gear shift pattern for the new version? I see that the control has shifted to toe-control. In that case, is there any kind of ‘footrest’ available? With the old gear pattern, I used to rest my feet between given footrest and back of gear paddle (at top gear, and when no more increment is available). Is this kind still possible?
Same as old one and you really ought to be resting your feet on the footpeg.

I’m planning to book a unicorn by this weekend. I enquired a showroom in Bangalore where they said they can deliver the bike the next day itself. How is that..? isnt there a wait period..? Or is that the demand for this bike has come down..?
Also he said that it comes in a new all black colour and not in the Black with silver colour i asked. How does the new colour look?

Honda is launching new 150cc+ bike nxt mth. It is going to be one hell of a bike.Led lights,digital speedo,fuel inject etc. Just wait & watch.cant wait 4 it.
Just wanted to know about the source from which you got this info. I have already booked for a Honda Unicorn, but after hearing this, I want to wait for the new bike. Please give more details about the bike and the tentative date of the launch also.

Are Honda unicorn engine and other parts genuine or manufactured in India?
the unicorn is the best.
but the unicorn dealers are providing not good response and service.
I buyed 3 unicorn from Evm honda in cochin, but they dont have got any reliability and response in maintaining the bikes when given for service.
they makes lots of scratches and makes the bike with full of scratches.
even they make huge scratches so that paint is going.
So i stopped giving my bikes to EVM for free service.
Hi dannyboy & samrat the new unicorn will be out by mid June. It will be similar to the fz-16 (naked bike look). It will be a fuel injection engine.150-180cc monster with a fat back tyre by MRF. Digital speedo & L.E.D. Lights etc. Bye.

Honda is launching new 150cc+ bike nxt mth. It is going to be one hell of a bike.Led lights,digital speedo,fuel inject,park lights,side stand warn,stylish rearview mirrors, etc.i know don’t take risk on comfort so nothing to say about that.
