New Honda Unicorn R
Honda Motor Scooter India has launched an upgraded version of Honda Unicorn. The New Honda Unicorn has the following new features:
- Engine tweaks to make the engine smoother and increase pickup.
- Exhaust Heat shield has been given the same black treatment as the rest of the exhaust, making it some what more attractive.
- Honda has also decided to paint the sari guard in black paint to make the bike look sleeker.
- Honda Unicorn’s instrumentation panel has been changed to incorporate larger dials with brighter colors to improve readability.
- The new gear paddle is toe actuated, as oppose to the conventional heel-toe shifter in the older Unicorn.
- Honda has also added bar end weights to reduce vibrations.
- Unicorn also gets a Chrome plated 3D logo to enhance its looks.
Overall the cosmetic upgrades have managed to make the New Unicorn look more appealing than its predecessor which was never a bad package to begin with.

i want to know about the dealers of honda unicorn in wayanad district in kerala
Today i went to the showroom to test ride a unicorn. I drilled the sales person and he finally told that Unicorn with a digital console will be released in April ’10. But that may be priced a couple of 1000s more than the current price. Dont know what other features the new one will contain.
i felt it is better to go for GS150r as it is a new and fresh model and contains everything required currently. Price is also slightly less than Unicorn.(bangalore)
Ok.. I bought a unicorn in Hyd last month .
Belileve me for a City Rider it is Bull Shit . The Bike has tall gearing which means it has more power above the 40 kph mark, and the obvious inverse is it behaves quite meekly before it hits 40.
This pisses you at the following places:
Traffic Signal – u wud me among the last to get off the signal
Stop n Go Traffic : U need to drag all the 146 kilos bike on ur legs till u cross crowded traffic
Bad Handle distance – The riding position is talll.. and is not as commuter friendly as it is considered.
Ghat Roads – The bike considers it a crime to go up hills and will start yelling at you till you go to gear 1
5-4-3-2 at each speed breaker U would need to do a 5-4-3 other wise the bikez gonna stop..
My sincere request to potential buyers. i f you stay in a city or a town with crazy traffic/pedestrians go buy a Honda Shine Unicorn is just not the bike. It is over rated crap.
Hi this is me vishnu from chennai.I am having april 2009 black + metal logo UNICORN.Its simply the best in terms of engine performance,stability,trottle response and smoothest of all the bikes.I noticed many are telling about digital console…but the fact is Analog speedometer is great….an far time better than usual cheap chinese digital console which is coming in apacheRTR and pulsars.How many of you peoples know this fact that the world famous sports car makers “PORSCHE” too have the similar speedometer(analog+digital)model of unicorn,even one of the world’s fastest bike suzuki HAYABUZA have similar speedometer.So never mislead by seeing poor digital “ERROR-PRONE” speedometers of other bikes.The only thing missing in new unicorn is the LED tail lamp.Always UNICORN is far ahead and better than any other 1500cc bikes in its class.In one word “All ROUNDER” in all means.HONDA RULZZZZZZZZZZZZZ FOR EVER and let TVS,HH,BAJAJ this sort of craps R.I.P.

Honda should make such a bike that it can beat rest of the bikes in different segment of different manufacturers. Honda has a capability to beat others by making it. we will be waiting for new.

Well the sources so far have pointed out that in jan at the expo there is a launch by HONDA but it is of a 100cc bike. Well as they r talking about the machine that it will stun everyone.By the end of the year or in the middle they will bring an upgraded version of unicorn. CBF 150
i hve decided 2 buy a brand new unicorn. i want 2 know whether my decision is right or not????
i am riding a old model unicorn, but i want to modify its engine for more speed nd pick up, changing its jet, air filter and silencer can help me…..
honda unicorn is not available in pearl igneous black colour and also honda showrooms are empty no varities are available from one month iam waiting for black to be availabe

Unicorn which i am having is with steel handle bar…..But ofcourse you can fix your desired chrome handle bar and why not you can even fix the sporty type handle bar of apache or pulsars…..And in totality unicorn is a complete bike and a much better bike than CBZ xtreme…..after all Xtreme got the tuned engine of unicorn…..always go for japanese products than copy cats.

Honda Unicorn is a complete bike..no one can compete with it,not even pulsar or apache…but i think if unicorn would be of 200 cc then it would be great..of course sporty looks is also required..may i get the pictures of unicorn with its mileage??i would be gratefull..plz reply my queries in my id..plz?????
I have purchased a New Honda Unicorn on 2/sep/2009 at MEENAKSHI HONDA Tirunelveli ( Reg No : TN 72 AD 5861 )for Rs 67000. I was so nice for one month . I have enjoyed so much the riding. The Shock absorber was so comfort for one month . After the First Free service done in MEENAKSHI HONDA Tirunelveli , the Shock Absorber movement is so hard and I have lost all the Comfort in riding.I have approched MEENAKSHI HONDA three times regarding this complaint but there is no response.I request the HONDA COMPANY to Change the Shock absorber the new One or a New Vehicle may be given since I have invested Rs.67000 and not satisfied with this Vehicle.In our Family we have 4 HONDA UNICORN Bikes.My Brother Mr.J.Johnson ,Lecturer ,Popes College,Sawerpuram and My Co Brother Mr.Vasikaran , Teacher ,Schafter Hr.sec. School Tirunelveli and two of my Close Relatives have Honda Unicorn.Recently due my recommendation my Friend Mr.Gabriel has Purchased a HONDA UNICORN.I request the HONDA COMPANY to consider my case.

J. Amerson Asir, check the shock absorber setting, they might have put the setting to stiff. Also check the tyre pressure and see if it is at the recommended grade or not.

holes are being developed in the silencer of my 2005 Unicorn due to rust and the sound has become very bad. The problem is in the portion below the engine where the silencer pipe has a welded joint.Any suggestions to rectify it? How much does a new one cost?
