Petrol Price hiked, effective 1-9-13

Oil Marketing Companies have decided to hike the price of petrol once again, this time by Rs. 2.35 a liter (excluding tax), which means a liter of petrol in Delhi would now cost Rs. 74.10, while it earlier used to cost Rs. 71.27.

This is the 6th price increase since June, and since then, price of petrol has increased by over Rs. 11 a liter in Delhi.

With the Rupee in free fall and cost of crude oil going up in fear of imminent US attack on Syria, petrol prices are expected to go up again soon, making life very difficult for common man in India.
