The photographs (posted below) were captured by Mr. Gaurav Thakker and show the new and yet to be launched Hero Honda Karizma with full fairing (in white color).
It seems Hero Honda has decided to add a bit of spunk to the somewhat dated design of the Karizma, by introducing full fairing, however in the white color, it doesn’t looks that great, what you do feel?

I dont think this would really help, because there are guys who already can fit you a full fairing! I dont see how company adding it would actually make any difference.

hmmm well did dey try to hybridize a karizma, CBZ extreme and a hyabuza?? well its looks pretty the same!! wonder why indian motor companies are still sleepin? watch YAMAHA and learn from them! its been a decade since karizma is rolling out with minor changes!! Hero Honda fans need a TOTAL MAKEOVER!! An entire new sporty design giving broader tyres and rear discs and split seats please!!

As of now, there are no further details regarding Karizma Fi as Hero Honda likes to play cards close to its chest, as and when more information becomes available, it would surely be posted on Indiaon2wheels.
i went to the hero honda showroom in panchkula…
they said that the new KARIZMA wud be a 350CC bike and it wud cost around 1.5 lakhs….
is dis true or a publicity stunt to attract the customers bec i dnt think dat it wud be a 350CC bike as there is no other 350CC bike to compete with….
they also said dat it wud be launched in mid AUGUST 2009….

The new ZMA, or ZMR as the graphics depict it to be, will have (as we had predicted) a full fairing, mirrors mounted on the fairing, clip-on handle bars, rear disc-brake, new shape headlamp and LED tail light, cool new colours with new graphics, split rear grab-rails, Gas Charged Shock Absorbers, a new rear mud guard and chrome speedometer inspired by the Hunk, golden engine panels with Honda’s PGM-FI (Programmable Fuel Injection). According to speculations the 2009 version will pump 19PS with 140 km/h top speed.

I hope this is not the real thing…..coz it sux big time… does this look like an upgrade given by the company????? If it is so it looks like a copy of cheap upgrades done by bike modifiers outside…..I think its about time Hero Honda assessed the guys down in the design department

The new karizma is not just a modification done by someone. Karizma has all those thing as prdp has said in his comments on August 1st, 2009 at 12:01 am. Everyone is sure that New karizma to be in showrooms definitely before diwaali and later this august. Friends, no one has the exact informations about new karizma so plz dont make any comment without any experience of this one. I personally think that the new karizma will have more power than pulsar220 & yamaha r15. Some sites have already given the engine specifications. I’ve called some auto sites to know about new karizma but they’re also unsure about engine speci. But it is sure that this one will be more powerful than p220 & yamaha r15. Karizma is all set to burn the indian roads. Karizma can be launched anytime in sept or october. Be ready!!!

The new karizma is coming for sure. Bike will be in showroom definitely before diwaali and later this august. No one knows exact launching date and correct engine speci.

That is either today or tomorrow.
Price definitely going over Rs. 1 Lac

It looks great, but not much improvement in-terms of Engine Specifications same old 223cc single cylinder, with a pathetic 17.6 Bhp.
and at WHAT PRICE? Rs. 91,000 Ex-Showroom.
BikerBoy, Karizma Fi hasn’t yet been launched officially. These are likely photographs from a dealer meet, if and when it is launched, we will post about it here.
You are probably right Yogesh, as there has been no Media Launch Event. But definitely it hit the showrooms on or before Diwali.

Finally the long awaited Hero Honda Karizma ZMR was launched here at the Hotel Leela Kempinski,Gurgaon. Media person from various media groups were present at the launch occasion. This is the first ever technical makeover/upgrade to the bike since its birth.
The country’s largest two-wheeler maker, Hero Honda Motors, on Monday launched a new version of its premium segment bike Karizma priced at Rs 91,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The new Karizma ZMR comes with a 225 cc fuel injection engine and is fitted with digital ignition system, Hero Honda Motors said in a statement.
“One of the key pillars of our winning strategy has been to consistently keep introducing new, advanced products and maintaining a balanced product portfolio. The ZMR is set to further augment our steadily growing presence in the premium segment,” Hero Honda Motors Managing Director Pawan Munjal said.
Hero Honda has launched the new Hero Honda Karizma ZMR FI. Hero Honda Karizma is a new version of its premium segment bike Karizma ZMR priced at Rs.91,000 ex-showroom Delhi.
Hero Honda’s product range includes several successful motorcycles that have redefined the Indian motorcycle market across segments, he added.
The new bike will go on sale across the country by the end of this month and the company will target youngsters within the age group of 18-24 years as its potential customers.
Apart from the changes done to the overall styling of the bike, the main enhancement to the technical specs of the bike is the introduction of the Programmed Fuel Injection along with the slight increase in the maximum power and torque of the bike which is 17.6 BHP @ 7000 rpm and 18.35 Nm@6000 rpm respectively.The bike also features new 240 mm rear disc brake.
The bike has feaures like maintenece free battery, RTMI (real time Mileage Indicator) and a bank angle sensor which can be seen on Honda’s CBF Stunner PGM-FI conributing to better safety and slashing maintenance costs.
The new Hero Honda Karizma will be available in 5 colors, namely Panther black, Sports Red, Vubrant Blue, Moon Yellow and Peral White. With an ex-showroom price of 91,000 in Delhi, performance bike cravers are going to be licking their lips.
Hero Honda is also planning to undertake an integrated marketing campaign involving the print, electronic and on-the-ground activations to promote the new bike.
The bike retains the same 225cc engine but gets fuel injection which increases the power by .6 BHP to 17.6 BHP @ 7000 RPM. Maximum torque of 18.50NM is .15NM over the carb version. Hero Honda claim a top speed of 126kmph which is 1 up on the ZMA.
The new ZMR is the 5th model from Hero Honda in its premium segment. It currently sells Hunk, Achiever, CBZ Xtreme and Karizma. Its almost years we have to wait for a new bike to be launched by Hero Honda. I always see doing a minor change and launching it as a new bike. I fed up with HH.
