SC allows TVS to sell Flame
Written by: Yogesh September 16th, 2009In an order passed today, honorable Supreme Court of India, has allowed TVS Motors to market and sell 125cc motorcycle, TVS Flame. Supreme Court has also referred the patent case between Bajaj Auto and TVS Motors, back to the Madras High Court and has asked the Madras High Court to hear the case on a day to day basis, and present its judgment by 30th of November.
TVS Flame which employs twin spark plug technology, is the cause for the row between TVS and Bajaj, as Bajaj Auto holds the patent for twin spark technology in low capacity motorcycle engine and it claims, TVS Flame infringes on that patent.
Earlier the Madras High Court had passed an order, stopping TVS Motors from selling and marketing TVS Flame.
