   everything is fine with this bike except the plastic fuel tank. The yamaha team should have thought on this before launching the modified version.

    I am bike lover. I did’nt find smooth gear shifting and smooth handling bike in any other producers expect yamaha’s production. I did not find a good bike after yamaha RX100. Now I got it.

    I dont know that why yamaha has made such bikes and overall its just the copy of yzf r15 and fz16 and engine is also same. after the success of r15 & fz16 they are thinking that it would go but to me , i think it would ruin every thing and its styling is not as copetitive as r15 or fz16 and it that in that price tag pulsar 220 would come with far better in coparison to looks and speed.

    fazer bekar hai go with new pulshar 220 dts i it has all that a true biker needs in india i mean only true biker all problems resolved that was in earlier pulshar bajaj has done 2 years work on 220 to make it is a fastest indian and its the fastest indian

    hello bike lover.. im keen to know that what exactly you think a true biker needs in india and what all problems have been resolved in this new pulsar which were there in the previous one? apart from the cut down of cost that too after removing the FI system from it what better bajaj has done in terms of improving the technology of the bike? they have gone one step back with this new bike. As per you, bajaj has done 2 yrs of work but you are forgetting the yrs which companies like Yamaha have done in the biking world.I agree that Yamaha bikes are not that high in terms of engine capacity but the feel and pleasure you get while riding Yamaha bikes can never be matched by any of the bajaj bike.. apart from this the services which you get from the service center of Yamaha is far better than any of the other bike manufacturer in india. At least Yamaha is coming up with new concepts and its setting the platform for improving the indian biking culture. And just wait and watch for the double cylinder bikes from Yamaha and the upgraded version of R15.Pulsar claims to be the fastest bike be making a 220 cc bike whereas Yamaha made a 150 cc bike(YZF R15) which could achieve the same speed with just the help of true technology..

    yamaha fz bike is really good yaar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!in both looks and performance in 150 cc bikes!! pulsar 150 ka baap hai yamaha fazer! but if u want real pick up more than karizma and r15!!!den go for pulsar 22o the fastest indian improved version !!!!but the maxx speed goes to yamaha r15 that reaches at the top speed of more than 145!!!!!!!

    Guys i really love bikes……….yamaha no doubt has an international Standard ……but inspite of that i am not happy with this modified version of fazer…its dimension has been made really small.common yaar it looks like a toy for a tall man…..compared to that Pulsar 220 is far better than fazer comopared to speed,style and looks..!!
    common yaar..its time to grow up…..u cant just play with toys now..u need to let unleash the beast within u ..with the pulsar 220!!!!!!!!!!

    if you really want to unleash the beast within you then why to go for P220.. go for Yamaha R1, Hayabusa or Honda Fireblade and so many other super bikes… These are the true super bikes all the other indian bikes are toys infront of them.. what say hun???

    the fastest bike is the y2k with rolls-royce helicopter engine.It melts the car bumper if a car is back of it.the most promising bike is of honda,it doesn’t break even dropped from fifth floor.
    On indian streets the bike to go for is pulsar 220,but if u want a bike with sporty looks its surely r15.the tyres are bit disappointing though.fazer is the newly bike in 2009.its actually like a karisma.FAZER IS BEST AT ORANGE FLAME COLOR.it attracts sporty looks.

    hello nazboy… u r trying to say that yamaha is different tchnology and its pleasure is different…then u r right but in today days a man want gud bike wich has gud performance high speed great pick up… then there is only one bike that comes to mind that is p220 dts-I i know the last version p 220 dts-fi has many problems in compare to that bajaj has done magic if u compare r15 to p220 dts-I than r15 is no near to p220 its pick up and speed is much better than r15 been pulshar 220 is cheaper and also giving milege from 35-40 which is very gud and every common man needs that only…. r15 is fully made of fibre which is not gud when it falls all its fibre breaks been r15 is costly than p220 (Rs 26000) and still not better than p220 and when it comes to fuel injection it dosent make a difference becoz bajaj is using biggest carboreater in this bike than any of the bikes in india so its performance and milege again rocks and now yamaha has launched a racing kit to make it better than p220 than that racing kit cost rs 53000 and its its also illegal to use in city only in racing tracks hv yamaha had gone crazy???????????????????????

    Dude its nothing but a tactic to sell more bikes. .they have not done any magic but have gone one step back in technology front and reduced the cost. And if FI system was not of any use then every other manufacturer could have used the so called bigger Carburetor and reduced thier production cost. And dont even compare a R15 to a Pulsar, everyone knows how advanced R15 is in technology front. Being a 150 cc and 17 ps bike it still has the top speed of around 140 kmph that even the P220 was not able to achieve until now. And who knows that the issues with the previous version of P220 has been resolved in this one? how do you know about it? its not even full 30 days of the new P220’s launch, so lets wait and watch how this bikes performs.
    My R15 has fallen twice and thinking about having a crack on its body there hasnt been a single scratch on it!!!! this is what is called quality..I
    talking about the racing kits… it is to improve the racing culture in our country and Yamaha has “only” designed it to be used on “tracks” and this is what is mentioned on thier website as well and i’m sure all the approvals must have been taken before launching these kits. they are not forcing you to buy it.. are they?

    in the end i didnt agree with your thoughts when you said “fazer bekar hai” and this is why i replied to your comment. why are you comparing this bike with a P220, just because it has the same price range? Any company can compromise on the technology or on any other thing just to sell their product, but this is called negative approach, these days when everyone is going towards the advanced technologies it doesnt look good if someone goes behind.

    hi
    i own a fz 16 red..its acceleration till 0 to 70 is superb the only problem its top speed it locks at 117 km/hr better if you are flying in the city for for fz if you are stretching long the r15 is best fz exact milage in city is 32 to 37 km depends how you shift the gears…
    lets see what the daytona race kit says to fz praticallly

    hi nazboy it is not a tactic to sell bikes but they have really done improvement to pulshar 220 … if u have seen auto experts review than pul220 is faster than ri5 in speed and pick up to …in ndtv cnbc ….and in many shows they have shown that p220 is much more better than r15 and if u dont beleve still ask urself… i know u hv r15 that is why u r ready to accept that p220 is better than ur bike but its true man ..

    hey bike lover, by comparing the P220 with R15 you are going off topic. the whole thing started when you said “fazer bekar hai” i talked about R15 when you talked about the quality of fibre made body. till now i have been asking you what improvement has been done in this new model of P220 and you havent mentioned a single one. you just keep on saying they have improved, but what exactly is that improvement dude? let the bike stay in the market for a few months before claiming about the improvement, within one month of its launch you can notice the improvement? if it was not the tactic to sell bikes then why have they compromised on the technology? why they have not given the FI within the same cut down price range? and now since i have mentioned that i have a R15, you have got a point to make about it . You are talking about the reviews from the various shows, then dont forget why Yamaha has won so many rewards last year both for its FZ series and R15. If Pulsar had that much of fire then why were they left behind in winning those awards? any thoughts? If you talk about the speed then R15 can also achieve the same speed as that of P220 and everyone knows about it..

    well nazboy if u wanted to know the improvements here are some of them
    there is vast change in handling from earlier pulshar 220-fi must go drive the earlier 220-Fi and 220 dts-I
    the engine does not give up at even high speed it reaches maximum and still have proper handling and without wibrating which was the problem in earlier edition of pulshar 220-Fi
    it is using the biggest carburateor in all the bikes manufactured in india which even yamaha does not have
    biggest improvment it is THE FASTEST INDIAN maximum speed from all other bikes manufactured in india
    it gives even more HP 21.04 from previous one and torque 19.12 which is also greater than previous one
    more bigger air cooler than previous one
    new different and sporty looking looks
    and there such more but the person will not feel the improvement until one drives it if u dnt beleve it stil then my advice go urself and have arace of p220 dts-I and r15
    well dude i dnt have any grudge against yamaha i know it is a very good company of motorbiking but now the best bike in the market is p220 dts-I

    I recently bought new pulsar 220, guess what…this fuckin shit has left me with lotta problems…it dosent start at the time of need… it vibrates after speed of 80, what is this,, i never had these problems in my KARIZMA,, god,, why i sold karizma for this rubbish,,bajaj……

    i dnt know its hsakib comment weather u have done after changing the name no one can gurantee that if relly want an answer between p220 and r15 then the most expert TUTU DHAWAN also said that p220 is far more better than r15 and in every show that p220 is much more better and when it comes to hsakibs comment that it dosent start well i need to tell u that it is auto choke bike engine starts even at hardest chill condition in a half a second and it even does not wibrate at the speed of above 120 km/h and i myself have experienced that i dnt believe him or u

    And dude.. first you compared P220 with Yamaha fazer and now you have started comparing it R15..Talking about the experts then there have been so many reviews of R15 as well where it has been claimed the best bike in india.. So dont give me such references.. Be practical and talk about what an end user experiences. If a person is posting his comment about his experience then how could blame it on me, that its me doing after changing the name? Have some life dude..
    R15 is the bike which challanged bikes of 220 cc(P220 and HH Karizma).. can any of your bajaj 150cc bike ever thought of competing with any of the higher end bikes??? the technology and everything of R15 is far superior than your so called “pulshar 220″ which you dont even know how to spell correctly!!!!

    Dude.. if you have a single bit of knowledge about bikes then you should be aware of the reason why R15 does not have thick tyres and if you dont then update your knowledge. And what problems R15 has???
    Apart from this the Yamaha service support is par excellence as compared to that of Bajaj..I have many friends who have bajaj bikes and they complain about the treatment they get at a bajaj service center.
    And yes you are right, i should not compare Yamaha and Bajaj in terms of technlogies as everyone is aware that bajaj is no where near Yamaha at that front.
    And now you have brought in another point of indian and non indian companies..what a silly point this is to argue upon.. I wont support a company who doesnt give good technology, i dont care if it is an indian or non indian company. If yamaha starts producing bikes of bad quality then dont worry, i would not be saying good things for them either I wont be spending my money on rubbish things just for the sake of giving profit to indian company or non indian company. And its not just Yamaha, i’m a big fan of TVS as well.

    now i tell u one thing i was the big fan fz series and i deciede to purchase but when i tested p220 it was much better than any of the bikes in india i am just saying that at this price p220 is much more better than fz …….yamaha is standing much in front in wordwide leeders but in india bajaj rules everyone knows that

    Gone are the days when Bajaj use to rule.. in fact i wont even call it “rule” as the people here didnt had any other option. But now Yamaha has kicked them out and if you see various reports on sales, then you will know who is selling more bikes these days!This is the reason why bajaj came out with a cheaper version of P220 in both cost and technology!
    And its just the beginning, Bajaj would be no where in the near future!! And I wish you all the luck if in case you have bought the new P220… Have fun with it.. lol

    Hi Bike Crush- Here is “my” opinion for you:
    Fazer is the bike which is made for touring purpose and for long drives Fazer would be better. The seating position of this bike is such which is ideal for long drives.But with all that said it doesnt mean that this bike cannnot be used in city traffic. Whether its city ride or highways the seating postion of the bike should be comfortable and this is what this bike has.
    Fazer has better styling than a P220. Better looking headlamps, muscular fuel tank, widest rear tyre and more…this bike is a head turner. It is also 9 kg lesser in weight than a P220.On the other side the new P220 doesnt have that much changes when it comes to looks.
    Fazer has a 7 step adjustable Monocross suspension which aids to the stability and handling of the bike. Monocross suspension is not present in P220. Fazer has the fattest rear tyre which provides awesome gripping on any kind of track.
    A P220 has an edge when it comes to Speed and Thrust, because of its more powerful engine. It has a better pickup and has a higher top end speed as compared to fazer. So if you love speed then P220 is better in that front.

    You should test ride both of them and then make a decision, see which bike suits your personality and your riding capabilities.

    Hi Yogesh,
    The seating postion is changed because of the fact that there is a slight change in the handlebar of Fazer 150. Fazer has a slightly raised handlebar which makes the seating position a bit more upright than before and thus adds to the comfort level.

    My choice would be Fazer 150 or FZ-S from Yamaha. Considering the realiability of Yamaha, the level of customer satisfaction, the performance of the bikes,thier bold new looks and style and features. Next to Yamaha would be HeroHonda extreme or hunk, then honda unicorn, bajaj would be the last and i cant say about suzuki as i dont have any experience with thier bikes till now.

    Hey RKO- the gladiator 165 and fazer 250 are not going to be launched in india as far as i know. These two bikes were displayed in 2006 auto expo but then nobody knows what happened to them. The pic which you have shown is also from the 2006 auto expo only.
    As far as i know there are more powerful bikes lined up from yamaha and an upgraded version of R15 as well but not in this year.

    Hey Ankur- Pulsar might be having a more powerful engine than an R15 but on technology front bajaj is no where near to any bike of Yamaha specially when you compare it to R15. Be it mono-cross suspension, Liquid cooled 4 valve engine to name a few…
    And yes, people used to buy pulsar when there were no other options, but these days there are far more better option in the market. And now when everyone was going away from Bajaj, they moved back in technology, removed FI from P220 reduced it cost just to lure customers and increase it sales. I would have been more than happy if they would have improved upon the technology rather than going back. This bike doesnt even have the basic thing like mono cross suspension!!!!
    you say you have beated R15 in the race.. i would like to know how long that race was?can your bike ever beat R15 on a track? whats the maximum speed you have clocked on your P220? I have seen various communities of new P220 and they havent crossed 139 kmph mark whereas guys have touched more than 145 on R15. and dude your bike is new, lets see how the performance goes when your bike is a little old, the reality would come in front then.

    And last but not the least start spelling your “PULSHAR” correctly!!! its not pulshar.. its called Pulsar. you seem to be influenced by that stupid bike lover( i am assuming yor not the same guy )

    dont u guys know that just sumtime back there was actually a law (duno which numbskull made it)that manufacturing a 250ccbike in india is illegal!!! coz it doesnt comply with sum `indian mfg standards`

    ninja250 is on its way…manufactured by kawasaki japan and assembled by bajaj….(bajaj has nothing2do with the bike OR the technology of the bike…NINJA250 is purely a JAPANESE product by KAWASAKI)
    it costs lesser2import seperate parts than to import the entire bike
    so2reduce cost a local company IE bajaj is just to say putting the parts together
    mind u this is a twin cylinder bike!!!

    indians mite cum up with a single cylinder 250cc
    but twin cylinder is where real power lies
    bajaj or any indian company for that matter cant even master FUEL INJECTION

    I came to know both the head lights do not work at a time and it seems a buzzer have been provided for changing for the desired light to glow.Does the centre beamer spot light will give enough brightness.In the showroom it was told that the battery capacity is not sufficient to make both the head lights to glow.I wanna buy yamaha fazer 153cc and even worried about its head light performance.will there me any change in the battery capacity in the coming days.I expect the conformation of my doubts …

     happy to see ur reply.but when i asked in the showroom it was told that those type of changes should be done by the company itself and ders no point of changing by ourself.as u have said ,paying extra amount to d mechanic solves d pbm but d main reason for providing single light is that the capacity if the battery given is not sufficient.how will d mechanic able to make both d lights to glow.The mechanic which u said is from d company or apart from the company.Is that ok to manage driving with d beamer light provided and the single headlight ?      Hey Akash and RkO- the new R15 does not have this single beam pattern its the same as before. You can turn on both the headlamps at the same time in R15 as oppsed to Fazer 150.

     I dont think that any Yamaha engineer will change the headlights pattern in Fazer 150. Yamaha would not allow it and even if you get the mechanic to change it i think your warranty would get void as playing with the electricals of the bike would result in this.
     You may get it done from any other mechanic but not anyone from Yamaha.
     and RkO- if the showroom you are going to is changing this pattern then just confirm that your warranty would not be lost.

     well i asked in the showroom that yamaha engineer are allowed to interconnect the other side light but they recommend to do it after 1st service there is no restriction and it doesn’t make any difference in warranty tomorrow m going for my first service and i’ll askd mechanic to interconnect the other one

Everyone knows that no one can beat the shit out of r15 on the race tracks.. so you cant even dream of doing that specially on the racing tracks.. and u must be right when u said that after 3rd or 4th gear you cant see any R15 in your rear view mirror.. coz all of them are far ahead of you.. lol you are at your 4th gear and R15 is at its 6th gear which your 220 doesnt have!!..
     your P220 cant even touch a 140 kmph mark whereas R15 can do that easily.. bajaj have to make a 220cc 21 ps bike to achieve 140kmph whereas Yamaha have done it with thier 150 cc 17 ps bike.. So now you have to decide how powerful this toy is!!!!!!
     You are just making a fool of yourself by comparing R15 with the outdated P220.

     thats why fazer and fz16 being a 153cc byk are quite above than pulsar 180 apache 180 herohonda hunk,karizma in its pickup and max speed, max speed of fz 16 and fazer has a slit difference as fz 16 can run at max speed of 129km/hr and fazer reaches 132km/hr difference between the engine is also very slit as fz 16 has 5 clutch plate sets installed in it whereas fazer has a set of 6 clutch plates per clutch box

     hello all… from my point of view.. r15 is the best.. in terms of technology but but but here is one thing, COme on Man ! 1 lakh is the price tag which only the Sons of Rich Daddies can afford not everyone so Bajaj punches them with the same thing in 70k bucks.. so i suggest P220 is the best of all till now.. if yamaha doesnt do anything with its price tags..then it will surely go down in future..
     if u get power looks speed and improved gearbox(provided by fcc riko) soft compound tyres( same as r15 but the bigger ones)in one package at a cost of 70 k then ..what will u go for?? fazer~?? lols..

     Hi Harry- I agree with you that the price tag of Rs 1 lakh cannot be afforded by everyone. But the reason for that high cost is that the engine of R15 is getting imported from Indonesia and is not manufactured in India itself. As far as i know, Yamaha talked to some people here for manufacturing the engine in india itself but then due to some reasons it couldnt happen. Once the engine starts manufacturing in India the cost of R15 will drop. But again, If yamaha is charging 1 lac for its bike then they are also providing thier best technology as well as quality. Even they could have removed FI from thier bike, could have given a 5-speed gear box,and many more things where they could have cut down the cost. But this kind of approach for selling bikes is not followed by Yamaha. Bajaj on the other hand compromised on the tecchnology reduced the cost. Its not that they care about the people who cant afford costlier bikes, its just that they want to sell thier bikes and make profit at any cost. And its just been a few months since this bike has been launched, lets see hwo it performs after 1 year of running, thats when the real quality will come into picture. I would have more than happy if they would have provided the P220 with a FI and other improvements with this current price tag. In terms of technology, all the Yamaha bikes are better than Bajaj’s and quality does not come cheap!

     Hi,

     I been using Pulsar 150 for last 4 years, and I also own a yamaha Rx100 for something like 7 years.

     If u are looking for a powerful engine and updated technology then Yamaha should be the best option.

     The only reason why I took Pulsar was it was the fastest and improved bikes available at that point of time.(before 4 years). But now as ppl pointed out correcly u got new bikes with advanced technology, speed and stability. I will surely go for Yamaha, even though my Pulsar is doing good after 4 years.

     One more thing i want to add is Bajaj (any company for that matter) should adapt themselves for changes in market conditions, there is no use bosting about performance and sales they acheived in last 8 years. I rember when Pulsar 150 was introduced there was no competetor, now yamaha is taking over that position… Slowly but surely…….

     GuyZ, What is this fuzz about technologies? What is the point of having them when it is no good to us? The previous p220 fi was unpopular coz of it’s fuel injection technology. Bikers like me want to meddle with our rides. Add power filters, upjetting, always tuning for particular events (i.e for racing, casual driving, stunting etc). With fuel injection system we all get f***ed up coz it ain’t programmable (not by us anyway). Does anyone know how popular was the pulsar 200? R15 has got it all. A 150cc engine, fi-liquid cooled aluminiun engine delivering 17ps, mono suspension, sportier look and may be more.
     But it is fit to be ridden only at ‘RACE TRACK’.
     And what technologies or qualities does yamaha boast about fazer or fz-s.
     And about that rear tyre of fazer-fz, do you know how much it hampers with the mileage? And why does a 150 cc bike need such wider tyres? Just 4 the look. Grip is increased but i don’t see a point in that.
     And why does a 150cc give a mileage that is there in a more powerful engine. You people do the math regarding the performance. What i found is that all the p220 lacks is a mono suspension which would greatly improve the handling. That too i have got it done for 5grand.
     Let me tell u a last point
     i can get a get a pizza from a mcdonald’s 4 100rs with great covers and all. The very same i get 4 60rs from a bakery besides ma home. Which will i opt for?
     We don’t consider the new pulsar 220 as a downgraded p220fi, but we do believe it is an upgraded pulsar 200 considering that it is just 2grand more than the 200.

     This engine is 250cc 20.5bhp@8000rpm & 20.3Nm@6500rpm. Being liquid cooled shud perform even better. Only thing is that the installation will have to be done with own hands for perfection. I am a regular to Himalayas on bikes and there you feel the need of extra power when fully loaded. p220 obviosly is a good option, but when you are driving on dirt roads or no roads you need a bike without fairings and all. Hence FZ.

     Do you think pulsar 220 engine is very big in size than FZ engine. Just have a look. A 250cc engine would be the same size, infact a little smaller as it will not have cooling fins being a liqud cooled engine. Electromechanics is my strength and I plan to do this myself.

     Yeh!! the engine of P220 is smaller as compared to FZ. but it will be quite difficult to maintain same balance and performance with ur modified FZ. However lot depends on ur expertise… I think the fuel injection and the oil changes will be bigger challenges.. also light weight of FZ and the tyre width … will be constraints.

     Anyways all the best dude .. never think am discouraging .. after all its ur bike

     Hi Robin,

     Low profile tyres are meant for smooth roads and high speeds. FZ has a low profile tyre which is meant for high speed cruising on smooth roads. But if you intend to go off road or on bad roads then you should have a little higher profile. That is the reason that all off road bikes and SUVs have real fat tyres and high speed cars have low profile but broad tyres. Low profile gives you side ways stability but makes your ride a little rough.

     Hi Robin,

     I can clarify a few things here:

     1) Sometimes when the engine gets overheated the piston expands and tightens inside the cylinder bore, the engine stalls (piston stops moving and jams the engine) immediately. But is as if someone has applied rear brake all of a sudden. But after stoping for a few minutes it cools down and you can start the engine again.
     This is a serious problem and you need to diagnose why engine gets overheated?

     2) Is there enough engine oil in the engine? Does the bike exhaust give white smoke on acceleration or at high RPMs? Does the engine oil level go low after driving a few hundred KMs?

     3) Did by any chance someone ever fiddle with the Digital ignition controller or with its sensors fitted on the carburator? Are the ignition timings set right? An advanced ignition timing can some time overheat the engine, but then it should always happen.

     4) Loss of power can also be because of some kachra in the carb which comes up and blocks the jets at some particular speed. This can be because of overtightened rear brake or overtightened chain.

     Its not easy to get bike or engine replacements i India and avoid getting your bike fiddled for change of rings until you are sure of the problem. If the rings are broken then they will make some noise and or consume engine oil and emit white smoke.

     You will need to explain the symptoms in more detail and exactly what happens to get a solution to the problem.

     hey dr rtr 180’s onroad price is 72000rs and having the top speed of 124km/hr the thing is that after touching up the speed of 100 the vibrates alot,and abut p220 its fast but bajaj removed the FI engine from it,u should go for yamaha fazer or fz my own is byk is giving the average of 55km/ltr and its not vibrate like rtr yu can ran it upto 132km/hr -140km/hr it will go easily

     Look for yourself whether its white or black or no smoke. Dont rely on those idiots.

     Best is to check how much engine oil consumed in 1000 or 1500KMs. If no engine oil consumed, then dont fiddle anything.

     Hey Rk0- Yes, even i know tht Fazer is not having 6 gears, and if you r fazer is touching 145 kmph then get its speedo checked coz its surely showing some errors!!! Even R15 was able to touch 150kmph with the help of Daytona kits then how come a FAzer can touch 145? I know Fazer is a good bike but 145 is beyond its reach unless the speedo acts abruptly!!

     Hey Rk0- Im not talking about the factors on which the speed and pickup depends nor im talking abt the mileage of any bike.. You are the first person i have come across till now who claims R15 reaching 160 kmph and Fazer reaching 145. Even the Yamaha advertisement along with the video on youtube shows the R15 reaching only 150kmph ; that too with the Daytona racing kits.
     The other thing is that everone knows that the digital meter reading is never accurate and at high speeds it shows more than actually the speed of the bike is. Come and join the R15 coomunity on orkut and you will find out what the actual R15 owners claim the top speed of R15, so forget about Fazer even touching 145kmph.

     It costs me 78000 /-
     (on road with insurance, no extra cost)

     Now its millage 40-42km/h
     After first servicing it will provide 45-51km/h

     No doubt its the best bike on its range.
     Pulssr is good for 2years riding, after that it is pretty useless..

     In quality Yamaha is far far better than Bajaj (boolshit)

     Its proven from from it:
     Yamaha’s 150cc(R15) can give the same max speed like Bajaj’s 220cc(Palsar)

     Bajaj sucks on quality.. Yamaha ROCKS….

     Harry puttar- dont call ninja ” bajaj Kawasaki Ninja” coz everyone knows that bajaj has nothing to do with the technology and performance of that bike. Its just that Bajaj will be selling it through it dealerships in India.

     And by calling R15 a cycle you are just making a fool of urself in front of everyone here!!! Everyone knows who has the better top end speed.. your 220 cc bike has never been able to touch 150 kmph which a stock R15 without the raching kit can do!
     I agree with you that P220 might be the most refined bike in the pulsar series but its only when u compare it to the pulsar series and not any bike from Yamaha, especially R15. and if you care so much abt money then by yourself a scooty coz it will fit everywhere.. weather it is cost. performance. mileage. blah blah blah..

     I dont have any question for which i want to know the answer.. and people are not fool who are buying bikes from Yamaha..When Yamaha launched its R15, FZ series and Fazer, it directly impacted the sales of Bajaj bikes.. therefore bajaj removed FI from its P220 and reduced the cost so as to increase its sales.. You can search on the internet regarding the sales figures of these companies.

     Remember one thing.. any vehicle performs better if it has a better technology there will be no performance if the technology is not good.. and everyone knows who has better technology!!

     If someday Bajaj or any other company will produce a bike of good technology then i will support that..
     and yes… find a R15 guy someday and race it with your Pulsar 150, you will realize the power of that bike!! When an R15 can compete a P220 then forget a Pulsar 150 to even come near it..

     and dont live in imagination of bajaj manufacturing a 150 cc bike worth 1 lakhs.. coz its not within thier limit to do that! believe in the truth and what you have in front of you!!!

     Do you ever know the reason for the tire size of R15? Do some research.. all those people who know abt them call them the best in town!!

     Yes.. i dont want to believe everyone coz there are people like you also present who dont know anything and are there just to misguide people!! I believe in the facts and dont imagine a pulsar worth 1 lakh!!!
     And im surely enjoying my R15 !! at least the experience is far better than any pulsar bike! The moment you take your position on this bike will make you realize how better it is from any other bike in india til date.

     and my suggestion to all the people out here is that dont believe people like harry puttar, they call themselves intelligent and in reality are even worse than a fool.. search for the options fulfilling your requirements and needs i.e. cost, style, performance or mileage or whatever you think you want to have in your bike.. then short list the bikes you think fits best in your criteria then test ride that bike.. and then make a decision.. otherwise people like harry puttar will just make you buy kooda bikes…!!!

     In the end i have never ever asked anyone to only go for a Yamaha bike..if there is any other bike which you think fits your personality then go for it. its people like harry who are trying influnce the decision of the people… and misguiding them!!

     @ Varun-yes, there is a difference between the handle bar of FZ16 and Fazer. The Fazer has a slightly raised handle bar which makes the riding position a bit more upright than FZs

     Harry- its not only the cc of the bike which decides how the bike would perform. The true example is R15. And i’m not stressing on 150cc. if yo u know how to read properly then read again what i have written above. I just want to say that if R15 is a so called “cycle” then how could it outperform or even come so close to your so called “beast”? Do you have the answer for this?
     Secondly, if R15 is for 1 lakh then it even has the technology with it which justifies its cost which none of the Bajaj bikes have. So even if it is a 150cc bike, still it have the features and technology more than a 150cc bikes deserves! I want you to realize the power and technology of R15 with the help of which it easily competes with the P220.
     R15 i snot about extra money, its about the pleasure and feel and performance it offers! and good things never comes cheap and if you get a good product then nobody minds shelling out some extra money… just underdstand the fact that not everything can be judged on the basis of money!!
     i hope you got the point here…

     you should also consider a fact that yammy is international company and our Bajaj is Indian … or if we dont promote our COmpany then who wud??      harry- if you are going to compare the price tag of a Fazer 150, then i would agree with you that its costly for a bike like that and a P220 might be more worth than Fazer( considering the cost of both the bikes). But yes, i wont agree with you if you are going to compare R15 with P220, which you have been doing most of the times.
     R15 has far superior technology than any other bike in india these days, it has 6 speed gear box, 4 valve liquid cooled engine to name a few.
     Let me tell you one more thing that bringing out 21bhp from 220 cc bike is not a big deal, do you know how much bhp the carb ninja 250R has, its more than its FI version.
     Honestly i didnt like the move from Bajaj of removing FI from P220 and this was the only way for them to reduce the cost of the bike and come back into the competition.
     So dont compare the cost of R15 coz it has all the features justifying its cost, forget that its a 150cc bike because everyone knows that it has a lot more to offer than a normal 150cc bike.
     If bajaj can come up with a gem like r15 then im surely be supporting that bike.

     Let me tell you all first, I own a Black Fazer. I am following this website for over a month now. But never posted a comment.

     The reason I got a fazer is that it has better looks and performance. I understand it is a little costlier. But I don’t mind paying a few extra hundred rupees per month if I get a good performance.

     Pulsar lovers often complain of Yamaha being on a costlier side. But why do people don’t understand that Yamaha is a far better bike.
     I rode my uncle’s pulsar for a year. Though it performed well it often gave me gear shifting problems. And I am not the only one to complain about bajaj gearboxes. But when I rode a friends FZ I was damn sure if I happen to buy my own bike then it has to be a Yahama.

     Pulsar owner like Harry call their bike good looking. But don’t you think all pulsars are almost same. The new 180 looks like 200. The 180 now has a pulsar 220 handle. The 150 now comes with black alloy wheels. The extra attachment that was to the tank of 200 now comes with pulsar 150 and 180.

     DTSI is probably a 5 year old technology from Bajaj. And they are still using it. All the pulsars have same technology with different engine sizes. If the bike is having a 220 CC engine then it has to perform better than its lower versions. But tell me what is new added to technology?

     Whereas Yamaha is providing pure technology. Pulsar calls itself the fastest. They them self call the fastest. Look on youtube. You will find many videos of R15 touching speed of 145 without racing kits. But you will not find any video of 220 touching that speed.

You must google around for the New p220 …then only you will get to know that it has now Got a gearbox provided By Fcc Riko .. same company which provides gearboxes to Honda and yamaha!! which older pulsar’s don’t have…!! Now having soft compound tyres same as r15..from mrf!! auto choke…in it for cold starts…!! 21 hp from a carb fed engine…!! 19 nm torque …!! projector head lamps providing better illumination at night..on highways..!! yeah i agree all other Pulsar are having problems but this one Is very much refined Piece ..!! Try it Buddy..!! You will also love it..!!
     secondly About Fazer,It is a nice luking Machine,,still it is costly…with 5000more buks and having 150cc carb fed engine..not even smooth as p150..low on mileage too.. Looks dont Last forever..!! But what matters is “performance” which Fazer Doesnt have..!! I dont even wana compare Fazer with new p220 Man! It is nothing in front of it..!!
     New p220 got Bigger engine Bigger power and More comfort…weather there is single rider or a pillion rider..!! Fazer is just Fz ..nothing new it except a fairing!
     Meanwhile R15 is Good bike…no doubt..!! done enough comparing of p220 with r15…
     if you dont mind paying extra buks then it;s ur choice buddy.. but i dont wana offence you but still wana.. clear your doubts for this New P220 !!

     what performance issue have u seen with Fazer? I agree that this bike might be expensive but if you remove the pricing for a minute then you will realize that this bike has everything..
     your complaint of R15 having thin or smal tyres have been rectified in Fazer and FZ, the mid ship muffler looks awesome and does its job well.. it has mono cross suspension which everyone knows improves the handling and stability of the bike..
     THe only problem with you bajaj lovers is that you cant digest the fact that Yamaha has made enormous progress in the last 1 year which made bajaj to remove FI from its P220, reduce the cost and enhance thier profit..
     they r just offering cheap product.. just wait for 1 year when this bike wud be old and then the real quality will come into picture..

     dude you say bajaj will improve in 5 years. That means u agree that it is not yet improved. And about comparing Yamaha and Bajaj.
     I wanted to purchase a bike now and not after 5 years. And currently Yamaha is the best in market. I don’t care if Bajaj improve in next 5 years or not. I want a bike which will be with me for probably next 15-20 years.
     People like you just complain of fazer being costly. But looking 10-15 years ahead with my fazer or any other Yamaha bike. I am sure I will have all the money worth.

     Harry the Potter,

     Fazer is 153CC n your bike is 220CC. We are not comparing performance between these 2 bikes. A larger engine has to perform better. But talk about R15.

     If Yamaha wants they can manufacture bikes of larger engines. But Yamaha is giving that performance from a 150CC engine thru R15. This is called technology. And not what ur hamara bajaj provides.

     You should feel sad that people compare ur bike 220 to a 150 bike. And 21bhp is not a great deal from a 220 CC engine. If Yamaha is to make a 220CC engine they can easily give power more than 25bhp.

     About fazer, it has just been launched. In next few months you will see more fazers on road than your 220. So you think the whole world is a fool, isn’t it?

     hey harry,
     see that video again that you pasted here on R15. The modification done by Daytona are to muffer, brake and a few. These modification don’t help the engine to perform better. Open ur eyes man. They are not modifying the air filter or anything. The modification are the external modifications. So stop for now. Except your defeat. R15 has higher top end than 220. If you can, find a link for 220 with that speed. I will stop commenting if you provide such a video link.

     Yeah if yamaha provide 220cc even carb fed at a price of 70,000 i will be surely supporting that..and Mr.Robin why you not considering the fact that this Is India and In India we need bikes with affordable price..not with the technology worth 2 lacks or more..even r15 is pricey…. And i am not comparing the suzuki or bikers passion.. just wana clear cut say that p220 is the Best value for money..
     Karan yamaha can not come with 220cc engine and with its so called advanced technology with the price tag of 70.000 but rather of 2 lacks..haha…which everybody can’t afford …. Why don’t you simply understand a simple point that Bajaj RUles again…with P220

     If yamaha provides r15 they should be knowing the fact that Rear must be provided with Thick tyres not the tiny winy Tyres… and if you go for a mod then surely you get performance issues so.. Thumbs down for the Rear luks.. Now about the bajaj its an INDIAN company and luk at the Better side of it.. they rectified all problems from pulsar series in this New p220… ok.. Thumbs up for that.. Now R15.. it has got a imported engine, liquid cooled , 4 valved but not suitable for all people in terms of price justification,,,,, so overall if we are getting Performace same as this advanced technology and imported engine From all new rectified Bajaj p220 dtsi at a affordable Price then who cares about R15 and spend 30 thousands more grands on it just to apperitiate advanced technology.. At least I am not that fool…

     So overall I suppose every biker knows about his bike and how to handle it.. You love yours and I love Mine.. Please enough comparing and Enjoy your Ride buddies..!!

     Harry- Im not a cheap person who would start posting comments by creating fake user names. Its cheap people like you who get such ideas in thier cheap brains!
     The link i had provided was that of a stock R15 and not with the daytona kits… I knew you will make some kind of excuse after seeing that video…which u have already done..
     Even you know that P220 cant even touch 145kmph and therefore R15 is stil lthe fastest bike at present…

     The only thing in your favour is the cost of P220 and nothing else..be it technology or be it speed.. P220 is far behind in everything than a R15 except for its cost!!!

     Who says R15 doesnt have good looks!!! A person who would say that R15 is not the best looking bike in india till now then he is a big time fool.. Reason being.. P220 has been so old in the market that everyone is fed up of seeing the same old looks of the bike!! even the new P220 is almost the same as the older one if looked upon. Just having big tires doesnt mean that a bike has got better looks!! Look at the front and the side on looks of the R15.. they are far above any other bike avilable in india! On the other hand P150, P180 looks the same, P220 is also same as before..
     Its been more than 1 year since R15 has been launched and it stil gets the glares from everyone on the road, be it guys or girls. .this bike is a head turner..The new ZMR launched is also better looking than a P220.
     Coming to the Ninja, yes this bike would be the best bike available in India in terms of speed and technology.. thi sbike generates 33ps from a 250cc engine.. now look at P220 which generates only around 21 ps from a 220cc engine.. the difference in engine capacity is only of 30cc but look at the power difference.. on the other hand R15 is just 150 cc and it develops 17ps.. now this is what is called performance and technology of a Racing bike!!!
     And yeah by any means Ninja is not going to be the most seliing sports bike in just two months!!!! you would be lucky enough if you get a chance to see even a few on the road in this time

     Ninja is priced too high. I don’t think it will be so common. In terms of looks, I still feel R15 and Fazer are better looking than Ninja.

     The only thing that is in favour of 220 is the price. And the only thing not in favour of R15 is again the price. In all other features R15 beats 220.
     So YES Yamaha!!!!!!!!

     Fazer is nothing but Fz.. only with little changes and fairing to make it looking better.. its mileage is around 35 in city and 40 on highway..!! Definitely a good looking bike if you want looks.. If you want power and high speed then P220dtsi… and if you wana spend more money then R15..!!

     hey guys m damn confused. i want to buy a bike
     at first i thot of buying fz16,fzs or fazer but their feature were not that attractive though their ride height was good for me coz m just 5′6″. and they all didnt have any fuel injection sys. then i thot of a bit higher end ones now m confused with pulsar 220, karizma r and yamaha r15
     pulsar has power but it vibrates at high speed(>75kph)
     looks are also worst but body can be modified by spending 20k more but again no fuel injection total price=75k+25k=1lakh
     karizma r is good bike but with 223cc they offer only 17 bhp thats bad
     looks again hav to be modified. karizma r doesnt have fuel inj either but karizma zmr does but not much a diff in power.
     total price = 82k +20K=~1lakh
     now comes r15. hmmm looks are awesome, 150cc but 17bhp
     fuel inj. ride height is low. thats good for me. but the price is high. and no need to modify body
     tatal price = 1.2k
     hmmm guys plz help me out
     also if i modify the body wud it affect the performance of engine?
     plz consider my height while suggesting

     If you want Fuel injected and ready to spend 1 lak then R15 is the bike for you ..
     If you want power and performance and yeah new p220 has got no vibration even on the speed 110kms what vibrates is only the mirrors..lols anyways If you have money buy R15 and if you wana become economical and still wants the Performance p220 is the best package you got in the market..!
     Fazer is out of question if you want pick up and speed. Fazer lacks yummy yummy kinda torque when it comes to engine..!
     And full body fairing affects the engine because p220 has got air cooling and full fairing will prevent from cooling so it affects its cooling plus you never get the quality fairing outside in the market except the company itself provides it..!! P220 is the value for money most rectified machine in pulsar series… i suggest go for it .. otherwise no zmr only R15 because it is the best in its class till now…!!

     bajaj have an excelent pickup….which can not be compared with others….bcoz i drove p150 in here Dhaka for three years….and truly i am addicted with pulsar….bcoz of its lovely siting position….a pulsar rider can drive confidently then any other bikes..we dont have permissions to ride more then 150cc…thats bad luck for us…pulsar is the king here….

     but cant be smooth like yamaha….after driving rough the engine of the pulsar get a bit rough….but yamaha is for all time rough drive….i sold my pulsar and will go for yamaha fazer….all the bikes have their own performance criteria….handaling and pickup of the pulsar is the best….totaly different from other bikes….but yamaha has a bettar engine, thats for sure….

     a bigger price will give you a better product always…even when you go for shopping…thats why people always go for true brands….
