Yamaha YZF R15 launched!

Yamaha has kept its promise and has launched the Yamaha YZF R15 today and now that it is launched, we bring to you the full specification and features of one of the most anticipated launches of 2008.

Engine

Liquid-cooled: First India-made model with cooling method in the Indian market! Liquid-cooled engines provide stable performance, reduce vibrations, and offer a high quality ride.
One characteristic of YZF-R15’s new engine is that it is liquid-cooled. The engine is surrounded by a water jacket in which coolant liquid circulates to cool the engine. While this method is widely used in automobiles and large capacity motorcycles, there are very few examples of motorcycles of this class due to increased weight from components such as radiators. YZF-R15 uses a special compact and lightweight aluminum radiator and a body design that utilizes airflow for heat dissipation. This has enabled us to create a lightweight, compact body while retaining its stable performance.

The benefits of using this method include stable performance during long-distance, high-speed riding and hill climbing. A liquid-cooled engine does not need heat-dissipating fins and therefore the engine is able to deliver its best performance without being affected by temperature. Additionally, because the head and cylinder are enclosed in a water jacket, mechanical noise from the engine is reduced dramatically.

The newly developed engine delivers agile riding performance, and excellent performance on straight stretches of road as well as on winding roads. YZF-R15 also delivers excellent environmental performance. These traits are a must for an “urban supersport.” The ride is unprecedented in terms of both excitement and quality.

DiASil Cylinder: The DiASil Cylinder was born from YAMAHA’s world-class aluminum die casting technology.

DiASil Cylinders are all-aluminum cylinders made by YAMAHA’s proprietary aluminum die casting technology. An aluminum alloy with 20% silicon content is used to create a very hard, reliable cylinder surface, making conventional iron sleeves obsolete. As a result, the entire cylinder can be made of aluminum, a better conductor of heat, which means the cylinder delivers better heat dissipation and less weight. (Aluminum’s heat conductivity is 3.1 times that of iron.)

YZF-R15 is equipped with this all-aluminum cylinder called the DiASil Cylinder and a forged piston, the same type of piston used in YAMAHA’s supersport bikes. The fact that both the piston and cylinder of YZF-R15 are all-aluminum ensures excellent heat dissipation, eliminates heat-induced engine power loss, and helps improve fuel efficiency. The DiASil Cylinder is given a special surface treatment to prevent oil evaporation from the cylinder’s surface and improve oil consumption. The cylinder also has excellent hardness and is considerably resistant to wear compared to conventional iron sleeves.

Additionally, the piston is made in a forging process, the optimum way of achieving lightweight designs. The reciprocating mass with the forged piston is approximately 20% less ( according to Yamaha test ) than with an engine of the same displacement fitted with a conventional cast aluminum piston. Resulting in an invigorating feeling when revving up.

Conventional pistons are typically made in a casting process where molten aluminum is cast in a mold. YAMAHA developed its proprietary “controlled forging technology” in 1997, which enables mass production of forged aluminum pistons. These pistons have been used in sport models such as the R series. The same manufacturing process was used to develop YZF-R15. Forged pistons retain the excellent strength of aluminum alloys because the metallurgic matrix of aluminum is not affected during the fabrication process. Therefore, the piston can be made lighter and thinner.

YZF-R15 is packed with state-of-the-art technology that is used in the world’s supersport bikes.

Fuel Injection: Fuel injection is used to ensure excellent fuel efficiency as well as environmental friendliness.

The two components of the fuel injection mechanism used in YZF-R15, a) the sensors that gather information on the engine’s operation, and b) the fuel supply system that supplies gasoline, have both been designed to be lightweight and simple. The sensor component uses only 4 sensors (Red blinking points) to gather large amounts of information relating to engine operations, which is sent to a small 26-pin ECU, which in turn calculates the optimum fuel supply. The fuel supply component consists of a small, fuel pump, modularized regulator and filter, and a small injector, all of which come together to enable a lightweight, compact form. The injector injects finely atomized spray of fuel through 6 hole type injectors.

In order to maximize the efficiency of the fuel injector, which injects the optimum amount of fuel for different amounts of intake air, YZF-R15 is equipped with a large 3-liter air cleaner. The duct area of the intake duct was designed optimally to optimize the flow of intake air.

Additionally, the use of a 4-valve combustion chamber (a combustion chamber with 2 intake and exhaust valves each) has allowed designers to layout the spark plug at the center of the combustion chamber for better flame propagation. This also increases the total valve area relative to the 2-valve chambers for improved intake/exhaust efficiency (volumetric efficiency). YZF-R15 is fitted with a hemispherical 4-valve combustion chamber, a configuration that allows intake and exhaust valves to be laid out in the smallest size possible.

In addition, the intake and exhaust valve angles have been kept small to achieve optimum combustion chamber configuration. We also aimed at minimizing the surface area/volume ration (S/V ratio) in the combustion chamber, which is key to improving fuel efficiency. In conjunction with the fuel injection system, this combustion chamber contributes to comfortable riding during long-distance rides as well as during medium to high-speed riding.

YZF-R15’s engine delivers excellent response, fuel economy, is environmentally friendly and a comfortable ride.

Chassis

Deltabox Frame: The frame, which forms the basis for riding comfort and handling performance, is a Deltabox frame which delivers superior rigidity balance.

This frame was designed to provide the best balance in longitudinal, lateral, and torsional rigidity. The synergy created by optimizing each dimension delivers a solid riding feel as well as comfort and agile riding performance.

The Deltabox frame was commercialized based on the experience and know-how accumulated through YAMAHA’s involvement in Moto GP since the early 1980s. This type of frame is currently used in YAMAHA’s R series of sport models. The engine is mounted on rigid supports; one on the head side and two on the case side; so that the engine itself becomes a structural member contributing to body strength and rigidity. The engine’s low vibration makes rigid supports possible, ensuring low vibrations and excellent balance of rigidity. Torsional rigidity refers to the frame’s resistance to deformation when a twisting force is applied to the pivot with the frame’s head pipe held in place.

Linked type Monocross suspension: YZF-R15 is equipped with a linked type monocross suspension that delivers a comfortable ride and a cushioning performance that is less prone to bottoming out. In particular, it reduces annoying “sinking” when riding tandem.

The linked monocross suspension consists of a link mechanism sandwiched between the rear arm and cushion unit to create changes in the lever ratio based on the lever effect. When the shock absorber is almost fully extended, the lever ratio is high and therefore the spring is soft, and the damper works softly as well. As the shock absorber strokes in, the lever ratio gradually decreases and the spring rate increases. Eventually, when it is nearly fully stroked in, the lever ratio becomes small and the spring becomes hard and strong. The damper also becomes hard. By making changes to the lever ratio in this way, we were able to achieve soft riding comfort as well as excellent damping under intense load conditions.

The optimization of the frame and rear arm rigidity of the Deltabox Frame combined with the effects of the linked type monocross suspension achieve good riding comfort, agile handling, and turnability, hardly ever causing bottoming out.

As the heir to the YAMAHA R series, YZF-R15 has inherited the series’ agile handling performance.

Design

The “R” Design: This characteristic of motorcycles designed by YAMAHA as represented by the R series reflects the philosophy running through these models — expressing performance visually.

For example, YZF-R6 shows a strong body line that springs up in a single line from the rear axle to the pivot and then to the head pipe. This is a visual expression of the straight shape of the Deltabox frame. These elements are a visual expression of “frame rigidity.” Viewed from the side, the shape created by the side panel and the upper surface of the tank creates an impression of the center of gravity shifting to the front tire. This is a visual representation of how the front tire grips the road in its sporty running performance. Needless to say, YZF-R1, with its athletic build, is also a visual expression of performance. A characteristic of the R series is that, when you view the machine, you get a sense of its concept and performance.

This philosophy has been fully transmitted to YZF-R15. An important point to note is that this motorcycle is not a scaled-down version of YZF-R1 or YZF-R6. YZF-R15’s design is based on having an excellent engine cooling method.

The shape of the cowling around the radiator area was determined so that the shapes of the air intake area and the rear outlet area where the air is scooped out are optimized to improve radiator efficiency. As for the outlet area, the mid-cowl area was designed using sculpturing 3D methods to create a three dimensional shape with a sense of volume. This resulted in an outlet area through which air is directed outwards with minimal resistance. We were able to present the new R series also in terms of design, and we have been able to maximize the performance of the liquid cooled engine, which will be a first for the Indian market.

When viewed from the front, it gives a sense of volume that seems well beyond its 150cc displacement. This does not simply mean that it is voluminous, but that it is grounded in the Art of Engineering which transforms function into art.

Humachine Technology: A sharp form that cuts through air. Inheriting the “R series” gene.

YZF-R1 and YZF-R6 are equipped with under cowls that are based on the image of a diffuser, to give them the best form for aero-management. These are not cowls for simply enclosing the engine, but forms composed of blade surfaces that actively control airflow. This spirit has been directly inherited by YZF-R15.

“Harmony between rider and machine.”YAMAHA’s Humachine Technology involves studying the form of the motorcycle actually in motion with the rider on it. The R series is the embodiment of 1) wide frontal space that protects the rider, 2) easy to ride seating area that gives riders the freedom of movement and allows them to steer effectively, 3) the glamorous tail treatment that takes into account the management of airflow behind the rider, and 4) a sexy racing form that brings all 3 of these elements together in a harmonious package. These characteristics have been splendidly reproduced in YZF-R15.

Additionally, the designs were developed in the same modeling room where YZF-R1 designers worked. Information was shared, ensuring that the R lineage would be transmitted. In addition, the model also incorporates a multitude of adjustments for the Indian market including seat shape that allows for tandem riding (integrated with the main seat), tandem grips that are easy to grip and also contribute to the supersport design, and a riding position that takes into account comfort, etc. In other words, YZF-R15 is characterized by a hybrid design that combines the world-class design of the “R” series with localized functions. YZF-R15 was created to lead the supersport category in India.

  1. hi amit I am planning to buy the bike but ur opinion confused me.
    Tell me truth.
Sunil naidu says it is very stable during braking at a speed of 110 km/hr
He also says pickup is rocking.
But ur opinion is against the bike.

  2. what is the price of Yamaha Yzf excatly?

  3. Friends to avoid such confusions have test ride and do what you like..

I think that is the only solution.

    Hi all,

Exact price is 1,01,750/- in Gurgaon. (one lac, one thousand, seven hundred and fifty) for more details you can call Gurgaon Yamaha showroom at 9999200000 (I have got from yamaha official website)

    Thanks

  5. It’s very good looking bike.and like sporty look.but it’s price is very high.according to 149 cc.pulsar 220 is better than this.this bike is only for showroom not for road.

  6. wts da top speed of yamaha r15?

  7. Its the best of 150cc category. And i hope yamaha for asucess with this bang.

  8. sanchit says:

    hi all,,

i own both of the bykes regarded as best in indian market 2day….i.e. P220 n R15,,,,but still find p220 as better ,,, it is much more comfortable , driveable , meaner.
r15 loses the way coz it lacks the sports byk feel,,,the noise etc.. for which one wud love spendin a lac….150 cc is enough as compared to other bykes but still 200 cc was reqd

  9. Hi sanchit plz tell me about comparision between p220 and r15 for pickup and speed as u owned both.
Yes I am agreed with u in case of comfort as P220 give somewhat straight seating posture.

    I have a p220 should I spend 1 lac for r15.

  10. Hi guys, read your comments and i must say that you know your rides well but still a lot of current zma and p220 owners who can’t actually afford a second bike immediately(assuming they just bought their bikes in june or nearby months)are crbbing about R15 ‘s negative performance and stuff which is nothing but sheer jealousy, cmon guys wake up and smell the java, the R15 is not even in the league of zma and p220 its a sport bike and zma and p220 are semi fared Street bikes. If you have ever heard or visited europe or america you would realize that street bikes are not raced and comapred against true sports bike. Being a lady biker (rare species)i am really thrilled to ride this piece of engineering marvel, R15 comes with a chip which can be remapped with an ecu to give you 20-30% more power out of engine ,as R15 in its 17 ps has a higly Detuned engine which has the capability of producing more power, i already have a zma which gives 17 bhp out of a 223cc engine so just imagine a yamaha giving 17 bhp out of a 150cc engine howzzzat, after remapping it will destroy all competetion in terms of power like in other departments it already did(looks, tech etc). @amit singh who wrote on july 14 about the bike skidding and stuff, he is lying …first of all he dosen’t own an r15 coz ask any r15 owner and the bike is the most stable bike on straight road and mean corners at well even at high speeds of 100 kmph and the tyres although thin are made of soft rubber compound (yamaha in collaboration with MRF)which stick to road as if glued giving u superb traction, so guys don’t hate a prfectly good machine , yours pulsars and zma had their share of glory now let the new phenomenon take some limelight .and BTW this is not a commutors bike its a stunner sports bike , commutors excuse and go grab a CD dawn or a bajaj XCD suits u r style, this bike is for the eclusive few so let the exclusivity be there and the other thing would you prefer to be an average joe or a superstar u decide. cheers and adios

  11. i love this bike i loveeeeeeeeeeeeee 09302240027 09329540027

  12. hi nimisha I really loved ur comment.
I want to buy the bike but some comments on the bike here made me afraid.
I GOT a chance to drive the bike but I HAVE just drive it at a speed of 45 km/hr cause it was my senior’s bike and he did not allow me to drive fast so i could not judge the bike
but feel of driving such a good machine was great.
and I must say its handling was superb.

  13. Shyam M says:

A good biker knows how this is…
    Specially about aerodynamics
Just hold the throttle, the bike starts scattering the air.

The combustion starts with twin inlets (intake) & twin outlets (ex)
A 4-valve arrangement is effluent. The forged piston again makes the diff. as a metallurgist I can say the strength & toughness in the material is greater in forged comp. compared to casted one.

So don’t get confuse with cc,

Yamaha has always kept up with new innovation while constantly bringing it to the next
level. With liquid cooled, 4-valve FIE, YZF-R15 comes with R1 DNA.

    I agree with nimisha!
So friends who are thinking to catch the YZF R-15 have it.

    Thanks & regards

  14. AS COMPARED TO BACK PORTION OF P220 OR P200 THIS BIKE IS WORST…such narrow tyres i thnk discover 135 have broader tyres than r15…yah the front is awesome n ofcourse the engine power,topo\ speed, pick is too good bt overall it lacks..n also thnk about its mileage

  15. nikhil joshi says:

    Hi Yogesh,
First thanx 4 d info but i want 2 knw dat is cc n average r related to each other in any way or not. Pls send me info regarding this matter on niks1988neo@gmail.com .Any one reading this comment can share their info.

  16. this bike is not goin to be a hit in India coz of its price ………
    and that 2 for a 150 cc engine……

  19. On of my Friend was Wanted to Buy the R15 but they let us down by making Bike of 17 BHP, he was going for at least 20 Bhp,so whats a point first saying 20-22 Bhp and now 17Bhp. so he Changed his Plan and Now he is not Going for it.

  20. Does anyone know where i can get a ECU chip for the yamaha R15.

  21. THE BIKE IS TO COOL AND SPORTY .TWO OF MY FRIEND WANTS TO BUY YAMAHA R 15.BUT ITS TO COSTLY FOR MIDDLE CLASS PEOPLE .

  22. Vikas Shokeen says:

    Hi All,
I am Vikas Shokeen, a big fan of Yamaha as a company and its products but please don’t relate my comments for R1-5 to it. I bought it on 30th June 2008 and has clocked 8,500 kms till now as I use it to commute to office instead of the car which I used before. Also I go for an out of station trip atleast once a month.

……… I have been keeping an eye on this thread from quite a long time and now I think I have ridden R1-5 enough to ask all critics of this wonderful bike to put their foot into their mouth. Its a fabulaous, miraculous bike. Its the best performance bike in India and for those who don’t know, performance is not solely a feature of power or BHP. For their information I would like to tell them that this bike has highest power-to-weight ratio in Indian bikes…….. Front and Rear disc is only a specification and does’nt tell how powerful and accurate they are……….. 120kph cruising is done at 8,000RPM, well below the redline 10,500RPM………….. riding position appears to be sporty but does’nt tell that its so comfortable that I completed Delhi-Ajmer-Pushkar-Delhi in 20 hrs (with enough time to offer prayers to Khwawja baba and Lord Brahma)…………. I did Delhi to Chandigarh (250kms) in 2hrs 45mins flat, now that what we call El-Sie (LC-Liquid Cooling)………….. above all it constantly giving me fuel economy in range of 40kpl in city and 45kpl on highways, despite my style of hard riding……

…….. and those who crib about the price, just check out the international range of any motorcycle manufacturer and you’d not be able to find such a good value for money bike ……… you pay for what you get…….. its not easy to tell how Deltabox frame improves handling, it can only be felt ………. no one will believe you when you say that you covered 150kms on Jaipur-Ajmer Expressway in less than 1 and a half hour (1hr 25mins to be precise), thats Liquid Cooling for you……..

…………… Now its upto all you guys to decide whether its the best bike or the worst bike.

  23. Guy’s,

Can someone tell me which tyres would be best if I wish to change tyres for the R15 – I dont like the look of the existing ones – also, I know I may have to compromise on performance, but wider tyes will help improve the look.

    So any suggestions please??

  24. the best way to get milage is 2 take off the tyre from ur bike and sit at home.hwz that

  25. mr kizza i think cycle tyre is the best. it gives more mileage and stability for ur bike.and its low cost also.

  26. What are you going to ride a sports bike ‘or’ street bike …. then definitely…. its a worthy….!

Why don’t you guys try T 282 B Liebherr tyre for bike…. how about that ha!
Go find any race bike specs. u find only thing the smaller higher pickup … i mean speed…. – no. of revolutions per second (distance travelled by time taken) …. especially in turnings you don’t need to slow down…. a good racer know how it is … applying brakes lately without slowing down.
So, i would like to say if you ‘r’ addicted with big wheels ‘r’ else if u have not seen any ever before ‘r’ it is your habitat …. then i would like to suggest these bike are not meant for fat big wheel passional’s ….

Guys then keep dreaming …. for big fat wheels.
From some other bike manufacturer…. with heavenly bodies.

    Thanx

  29. Vikas Shokeen says:

    Hi Everyone.

I am back with some more to say about Yamaha YZF R1-5.
Guys recently I completed a roadtrip on my R1-5 but no ordinary trip it was. I went from Delhi to Mumbai and completed this stretch in 23hrs and 30mins flat. Though I went on to reach Pune but those 24hrs between Delhi and Mumbai are always going to be special for me.

I did this trip solely to test my own and my R1-5′s endurance in which as per my own expectations, we both passed. For those who are not aware, distance between Delhi and Mumbai is around 1,450kms. These 1,400 odd kms included every type of road, straight highway, twisty ghat road, the worst highway (one in the making between Vadodara and Surat) and almost everything. I would say R1-5 handled each one of these with aplomb.

Though when I started my trip from Delhi, I was’nt sure that whether I would be able to achieve what I thought but I kept on making short term goals and achieved them in the end.

This news is also published in one of the most reputed auto mags of the country, AUTOCAR India. Those who have any doubts about my claim can check it on page no. 137.

Coming back to the way R1-5 performed was really amazing and pretty extra-ordinary for a bike for such a small capacity. I rode for hours and hours continuously at the speed in excess of 110kph which most 150cc bikes find difficult to achieve, let alone cruising at that speed.

I Would not be able to explain the tour further a its very difficult for me to pen down my words here but if somebody wants to know further can definitely contact me through e-mail at my id “shokeenvikas@rediffmail.com”.

    Thanks to all

  31. this bike looks good from far…well i ride a hornet 250cc 4 cylinder..in dubai…i hav ridden mostly all bikes in india..but man the hornet is in a class of its own…its a crazy bike..i give hard time to r1′s and cbr’s in traffic…they just hate it……but i just love it…

  32. Can we compare R 15 with FZ 16 ? because both bikes are 150 CC. But when it comes to riding in city which one is best? I heard that FZ 16 has been tuned with low end torque so it is more suitable for city…

  33. HELLO THERE ,
OK ..LET ME MAKE IT CLEAR THAT THERE IS NO COMPETITION OF YAMAHA YZF R15 IN INDIA TILL 2010, I MYSELF OWN A RED DEVIL R15.. IT REALLY ROCKS MAN…NO BIKE STAND A CHANCE..BEST PERFORMANCE..BEST SPEED,BEST STABILITY..EVERYTHING IS TOP NOTCH.. SOME SAY THAT IT DOESNOT STAND A CHANCE IN FRONT OF NINJA 250..BUT MAN NINJA IS ABOUT 2.5 LAKH..N THEN IT IS 250 CC. N HEY IF U WANT SOME YAMHA WILL BE LAUNCHIN R15 250 CC IN 2010 SO JUST IMAGINE IF 150 CC IS GIVIN ALL BIKE SUCH A HUGE RUN..WEN 250 CC COMES IT WILL SURELY MAKE A RAGE IN THE COUNTRY..SO YAMAHA ROCKS IF ANYONE OF U HAV ANY DOUBT BOUT R15 TELL ME I WILL CLEAR IT..I HAV TAKEN THIS BIKE TO 141 KMPH .N IT REMAINS SO SMOOTH JUST CAN’T IMAGINE.. IT CREATES FIRE ON THE ROAD N HEY PICK ALSO THE BEST IT REACHES 6000 RPM AT 1ST GEAR ONLY..WHICH IS IMPOSSIPBLE FOR ANY INDIAN BIKE..MAX. PULSAR 220 CAN REACH 4000 RPM.. SO DON’T COMPARE R15 WIT ANYONE ..COZ IT ALWAYS WIN IN ANY RESPECT

  34. any idea how much does the front fearing of yamaha r15 cost, as the bike fell there are little scratches , is there any way of repairing that by restickering , and how much will stickering cost…??

  35. kindly help me from where i could get R15 at lowest downpayment and emi in delhi or nearby it.i am a fresher

  36. Hi,

I’d like to update you about my first fuel consumption observation of my FZ 16. It is 51 KMPL in City traffic. Reserve to reserve. I was surpised, I was not expecting this much. It’s not even one month complete…

    Let’s see … :)

  37. Guys, Never talk about power-to-weight Ratio.. The apache RTR?. The RTR means Racing Throttle Response..they bring that with Power/weight ration and that sucks!. When you got over powered without a rear grip this gonna end in slipp.. May be the Soft compound on R15 can give more grip unless its ground touch is sufficient enough on slippery wet road or what about gravel..Teh ground touch is move important thats the reason the bajaj bikes stands stable. It means good breaking.. It got a rear disk..Adding a double disk at front and a rear doensnt mean stopping power. It can lead to skid on wet or gravel.. Definitely R15 is a racing inspired bike and that may be only useful on Race tracks where no gravel (perhaps water)..The 6th gear can give you much speed and thus needs a equivalent stopping power(brakes) and a tyre grip…look at the FZ16..it is still the 150..and they can rock on safety as well..I know much about the YAMAHA india History of taking so many lives..i too had one experience.. with no safety no joy..

    reply with your comments..

  38. hi….. the front fearing costs approxly 40000………. is it necessary to change the rear tyres for better gripping……… reply plz…..
    thank u….. with regards…… enjoy the life…..

  39. Vikas Shokeen says:

Sorry mate, you are wrong. Front fairing does’nt cost Rs40,000 as you have mentioned…….. I already have had a crash in which I damaged the full front end. I would like kto give you a brief about the approximate charges of all the part of front fairing…………. Most expensive is the headlight which though seems two is actually 1 piece, Rs2,500……….. 4 side panels (2 from each side) cost about Rs500 each………. Front windscreen- Rs250, headlight wrap panel- Rs500…….. Inner covers of the fairing- Rs500………… In case somebody needs to change the radiator as well then the cost is Rs5,850 (I have got 1 changed)……… Labour charges and other small parts extra which should not cost more than Rs1,500.

……….. So guys its not all that expensive as it seems, infact its rather good value as compared to ones like Pulsars or Zmas.

And guys I was the first person in Delhi to get my paid service done. It was so early that the Yamaha Pro Service, the company owned and operated Service Cum Training Center had not fixed the charges for the paid service as well.

Hi to all once again. It seems as if this thread is forgotten now. However, its for all the old and new readers. I have posted 3-4 times on this thread and keeping a close look on this to know more about what people think about R15.

I want to update my own experience with the R15 on this forum as most of the people have misconception regarding the R15 as a motorcycle. As I have already informed in previous posts that I am using this bike last 11months (30th June 2008 onwards) and its nothing short of extra-ordinary for its engine capacity.

Its been an exceptionally reliable workhorse for me during this period. It has gone through toughest of the endurance tests in my hands (details can be read in previous posts) and now I am taking it to the ULTIMATE DREAM DESTINATION of every motorcycle enthusiast LEH, The Roof of the World.

I have planned my ride towards the end of August this year and will be another acid test of this lovely little beast. Riding a track and road focussed sportsbike on the off-road adventure trip in stock conditions is going to post another challenge for R15 and my abilities as a rider.

I Will keep all you guys posted regarding the trip and all your views, suggestions and questions are most welcome at “shokeenvikas@rediffmail.com”.

    if yes…
plz tell me wat is the widest size dat can be put…???

  45. Can any one tell me how much milage does this bike give in city limits and ob highwaysss

  46. I am going to buy an R15 here, but I want to change something immediately after buying, people in this forum pls suggest me whether tht will be right or not…. AFTER BUYING R15 IF I CHANGE THE REAR TYRE OF IT WITH FZ16, CAN THAT BE DONE???
    Pls reply me asap

    NITEEN

  47. Changing rare wheel is not a good decision … this will slow down ur bike in full throttle and misleads the balance, turns etc…or else try for new fazer with twin headlights…. this one is same FZ16

The Gladiator rear wheel and R15 rear wheel are same …. where as FZ16 Wheel is different
same like R15 …. R125 is launched in UK … marvelous bike… the back-frame is different from R15

  49. Gaurav Lambole says:

The “rab ne bana…” bike is of Yamaha only. Don’t have idea of exact model number but it must belong to FZ series. You might have also see Yamaha bike in “Golmal 2″
    :)

My apologies…I would like to make a correction about the bike shown in “rab ne bana di jodi ” movie. It’s Suzuki not Yamaha :)
